Last Saturday, AnakJajan spent pre-dinner afternoon break at The Fctry Bistro and Bar St. Moritz Puri Indah Jakarta, it’s one of the new and hippest hangout spot at near west Jakarta area.

The Fctry is located across Hypermart at St. Moritz apartment building, the same building with Electronic City. They serve Asian and Western menu such as all day brunch menu, appetizer, main course such as Ox Tongue Don, Pho’ Bo, Burger, grilled meat to share and dessert with price range from IDR 45k – IDR 480k.

With the use of exposed pipes in the wall, metal fence and door, it gives this little bistro a touch of old-fashioned industrial yet cozy ambiance. Music played was also really nice with soothing and calming instrumental playlist.

Because we visited this place mainly just to have an afternoon break before moving to another place for dinner, we restrict ourselves by not ordering too much so we won’t end up eating too much. We only ordered one main course Crispy Pork Belly IDR 150k and dessert Lava Chocolate Cake IDR 38k.

Crispy Pork Belly IDR 150k
Pork belly dish was SUPERB AND HEAVENLY!! First the pork belly itself was cooked perfectly with super crunchy skin and moist tender meat beneath, and it was getting more and more interesting when we ate it with the sweet yet sour dressing and smooth mashed potato. So good and addicting, this is totally one of the best pork belly dish we had so far. The only one complain about it is the small portion of the mashed potato.

Lava Chocolate Cake IDR 38k
Freshly baked and hot lava chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. It was perfectly cooked with oozing chocolate inside and crunchy texture outside. It was nice and rich but failed to ‘WOW’ because of the chocolate quality was not as good as I expected.

Overall, AnakJajan enjoyed our pork belly dish and the chill cozy ambiance inside The Fctry Bistro, on the other side we think that their food are kinda pricey for west Jakarta area. Let’s Jajan!!
