The Cup is a franchise restaurant from Korea serving authentic modern Korean food. Their first outlet in Indonesia is located in Pantai Indah Kapuk area.
You can easily spot this restaurant with their catchy signature green color signage. The Cup offers more different and unique menu from the other Korean restaurant around PIK area that are mostly Korean BBQ restaurant. Here you can find a wide variety of modern Korean rice and noodles menu, but besides that they also serves various Korean meat, soup, snack and bingsoo (Korean ice dessert) menu.
Most of the ingredients are imported directly from Korea in order to keep and maintain the authenticity and quality of their food. Most of our friends who went there told us that food at The Cup are really good it deserves more credit and hype, and we couldn’t agree more. Let’s see what they have.
Spicy Seafood Jjampong Noodle IDR 60k (M), IDR 70k (L)
If you are up to something hot and spicy then you should try Spicy Seafood Jjampong Noodle. Jjampong is Korean noodle soup dish with spicy seafood broth. The jjampong here at The Cup is very spicy and packed with seafood flavor, you can adjust the spiciness level whether you want it less, medium or super spicy. AnakJajan had our Jjampong medium and it was already quite spicy and addicting.
Spicy Dakgangjeong IDR 68k
Deep fried boneless chicken served with signature sweet, spicy and garlicky sauce. Very enjoyable and it goes really well with beer or soju.
Cheese Tteokbokki IDR 75k
This is one of their newest menu, Korean spicy rice cake dish topped with cheese. It consists of rice cake or tteok, fish cakes, egg, and vegetables with sweet spicy Korean sauce and topped with melted mozarella, parmesan, cheddar cheese. The cheese was so generous and very aromatic, it goes really well with bold sweet yet spicy sauce that you will get balanced spicy and cheesy flavor from this dish.
Kimchi Fried Rice With Ham IDR 55k (M), IDR 65k (L)
This is also their newest menu, kimchi fried rice with ham, sunny side up egg and nori flakes. Taste wise was pretty good, the savory kimchi fried rice was very aromatic.
Haemul Pajeon IDR 59k
Pajeon is Korean style of savory pancake. AnakJajan must say that the pancake here is pretty special and different from other places we had, in a good way. It was crunchy on the outside and packed with charred green onion aroma and assorted seafood served with tangy sauce, so good!
Injeolmi Bingsu IDR 42k
One thing that we love from the bingsu here is instead of coarse shaved ice, they use smooth milk snow ice that can easily melts in our mouth. As for topping, we highly recommend you to try the most typical flavor which is Injoelmi Bingsu with chewy Korean rice cake or mochi topped with this special nutty powder called Gomul that is usually made from ground soy beans, azuki beans and sesame, very interesting. Fyi, you can request additional ice cream topping.
Cheese Bingsu IDR 55k
And for more modern option, you can try the Cheese Bingsu with cheese cake cubes, wafer, almond flakes, raisin, vanilla ice cream and blueberry sauce. The cheese cake is so soft and melty we enjoyed it so much.
Overall food at The Cup were so delicious and satisfying AnakJajan regret not trying it earlier. If you are a fan of Korean food, AnakJajan highly recommend this place as they offer more unique and varied menu. Seriously will be back for more! Let’s Jajan!!
