Sea Grain is one of the newest restaurants in DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, it is specialized in Mediterranean cuisine with local twist, sounds interesting right?


When it comes to Mediterranean cuisine, it is not the kind of cuisine that can be found easily in Jakarta so if any of you need a recommendation for Mediterranean cuisine, Sea Grain could be the one. To add more, they added local twist to the food which makes it more unique. Considering AnakJajan’s previous great experience with Rendang Pizza from OPEN Restaurant, AnakJajan were excited to try Sea Grain restaurant.
Sea Grain opens only for dinner from Monday until Saturday 5pm till 1am, the area consist of dinner and bar area where the bar opens from 5pm and dinning area opens from 6pm. Every Tuesday until Friday, customer can enjoy after work or after dinner chill with live music performance at Sea Grain Bar from 8pm until 11pm. The space is very spacious and nicely arranged with posh yet chic design and dimmed light during the night resulting a relaxing and romantic ambiance.

Prawn Mango Salad IDR 95k
The salad consists of pan-seared king prawn, mango, capsicum, balsamic reduction, sun-dried tomato and garlic crumble. King prawns were huge, juicy and sweet, vegetables were fresh, AnakJajan enjoyed the fresh, savory, sweet and tangy combination. It was a great dish to start the dinner.



Halloumi Satay IDR 135k
Fruit skewer dish, halloumi cheese, pineapple, watermelon with 3 spicy sauce. The unique part from this dish is the funky sauces, Indonesian Petis with Peanut sauce, Beetroot sauce and Sweet Soy sauce. The combination kinda reminds us with Indonesian rujak.



Mezze Platter IDR 88k
The platter comes with hummus, baba ganoush, mutabal, tabbouleh, ezme, olive and feta cheese, pitta bread and lavash. A complete set with lil bit of everything.



Steam Sea Bass IDR 165k
Seabass fish with olive oil, mashed cassava and lemon butter sauce. The thick meaty fresh seabass was steamed nicely with tender soft texture and served with lemon butter sauce that complemented the fish really well with refreshing tangy buttery flavor. Love the sweet, sour and crunchy touch from the addition of pomegranate.



Frito Octopus Pizza IDR 125k
AnakJajan think this was the most unique pizza topping AnakJajan’ve ever had. Thin pizza crust topped with octopus, herb basil, coriander leaf, mozzarella cheese, fruit salsa, topped with scrambled oncom, yessss ONCOM! traditional staple foods of West Javan cuisine that is made of fermented soy beans with other ingredients, can you imagine having oncom with pizza?!


Somehow the uncommon combination works! It was surprisingly a very tasty pizza, all ingredients complemented each other perfectly. Two thumbs up for the chef!

Rendang Lasagna IDR 130k
This is seriously good stuff! Let me tell you why! Layered of lasagna with beef rendang, tomato sauce, bechamel sauce and mini cassava ball with melted cheese, the combination between the whole ingredients was insanely delicious, it completes each other perfectly. Sea Grain knows how to cook their beef rendang nicely, very flavorful and rich in flavor. Top recommended!




Luwak Crepes Tiramisu (Contain Alcohol) IDR 185k
This was a perfect and sweet ending for the great dinner. Soft delicate crepe filled with creamy Luwak coffee tiramisu served with vanilla ice cream, the addition of berries gave the dessert a nice fruity sweet sour taste. Love it!


Overall, for the unique innovative dish with local twist, AnakJajan give Sea Grain two thumbs up! The food were delicious and different, ambiance was great, we can see ourselves coming back for more! Let’s Jajan!
