2022 SINGAPORE TRAVEL GUIDE – 10 COOL/ UNUSUAL EXPERIENCES TO TRY

Hello, welcome back to our blog! It has been a while since our blog post due to pandemic, but yeah we’re back with more travel tips since we start to travel again. Let’s start with Singapore, we just got back from our trip to Singapore and can’t wait to share with you all the new recommendations about interesting places/ activities to try, it will make your trip to Singapore even more memorable!

There is tons of new and upcoming seasonal activities available for limited time only and we’re sure you don’t want to miss it because it’s just too good to be missed for example Halloween Horror Nights, Comic Con, Avatar at Garden by the Bay (yes you read it right, the famous AVATAR movie!!), and many else. Here are the list:

  1. Halloween Horror Nights 

During the night, Universal Studios Singapore turns into spooky horror scenes. Mark your calendar because the annual event Halloween Horror Nights is back!!

Thrill seekers should not miss this seasonal event from 30th September – 5th November 2022. There are 3 Haunted Houses, 2 Scare Zones, and more experiences including Laser Tag. We’ve been to previous Halloween Horror Nights and we must say that this year’s HHN10 is AMAZINGLY SPOOKY!

Also, do not miss the DIE-NING with the Dead eating experience too, imagine having bloody brain meal that turns out to be a chocolate dessert, yasss you read it right!

  1. Minions exhibition

Bello! Calling Minion fans from all ages! If you happen to visit Singapore between 3rd September 2022 until 2nd January 2023, you’re lucky because there’s pop-up attraction  on Despicable Me and Minions movies.

There are 8 thematic zones with plenty of photo spots, interactive activities, and it’s kids friendly so everyone will have much fun there. FYI, Tickets are available exclusively on KLOOK.

  1. Platform 1094 in Serangoon Road

Do you know that Singapore has Harry Potter themed cafe? We just found out about it when randomly browsing KLOOK for more unique activities in Singapore. It’s called Platform 1094, if you’re a potterhead you’ll LOVE the atmosphere here.

The cafe even provides props for us to wear and take picture such as clock, glassed, hat, scarf, even broomstick. We booked Signature Combo A set menu via klook and it includes Glass of Mr Lich’s Flaming Brew and Pesto Mayo Pork Ribs, the ribs were tender and we love the “magical” flaming surprise from the drink.

4. The Cat Cafe in Bugis

This place is definitely for those who need to destress and go slow. The cats are so adorable and clean not to mention the calm relaxing atmosphere with nice cozy music.

While having tea, we can pat or play with the cats. A perfect dating spot for cat-lovers and a family-friendly cafe to bring kids.

  1. S.E.A Aquarium

Known as one of the world’s largest aquariums and home to more than 100,000 marine life representing 1,000 species in more than 45 diverse habitats. S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa offer amazing experiences especially for family holiday. Quick tips: purchasing the tickets via KLOOK is really convenient since you don’t need to queue and it’s also cheaper than on site purchase.

  1. Art Science Museum at Marina Bay Sands

A special place where art meets science, Singapore’s ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands has become a must visit destinations.

Not only you can see art but you yourself can also try unique interactive experiences from the massive size of 6,000 square meters filled with 21 different gallery spaces, and fascinating exhibits. Another plus point is it’s very instagrammable and we’re sure you’ll take tons of photos or videos there.

For limited time 3rd September 2022 – 29th January 2023 you can visit special exhibition “MENTAL: Colours of Wellbeing”.

  1. Adventure Cove

There’s nothing better than jumping into the water on a hot sunny day in Singapore. Located at Sentosa Island in Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark offers 14 thrilling rides and attraction.

  1. AVATAR: the experience at Gardens By the Bay

As we all know AVATAR is highest-grossing film globally of all-time and we’re thrilled to share with you the news that you can experience the wonders of Pandora right here in Gardens By the Bay Singapore!
