South Korea has many popular must buy and must try snacks. Therefore, in this post, we compiled a list of yummy Korean snacks to buy.
One of the most exciting parts from traveling is SUPERMARKET SHOPPING!! We always love love loveeee exploring all the local products and snacks every time we travel.
Korea has so many interesting looking snacks to try. We have tried quite a lot of snacks and here are some of the products that we think worth trying. We hope it can be your snack guide whenever you visit South Korea.

Well there are many places to buy snacks in Seoul:
– Lotte Mart
– HomePlus Supermarket
– 7Eleven
– eMart
– GS25
– CU
– Any random supermarket or minimart you can find out there
We often visit these two supermarkets besides random convenient store nearby:
THE SNACKS:
ORION TURTLE CHIP
Sooo many of you have tried this snack and we’re glad that you loved it. The crispy texture is just one of a kind, light crispy and addictive. Although they have so many flavors, please note that the GREEN COLOR or CORN SOUP FLAVOR is the most delicious one!
UPDATE: AnakJajan have tried the latest Injeolmi flavor and it was amazing with soy bean powder as one of the ingredients. Must try!
JOLLY PONG
Jolly Pong is our new found love, the puffed rice snack texture is really light, puffy yet crunchy. It is lightly sweetened with caramel-like glaze and can be enjoyed in various ways whether as snack or even cereal with milk. So good, we can easily finish one pack in no time. Besides original, there’s Jolly Pong with mini marshmallows version too.
NONG SHIM CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS SNACK
The fried chicken flavored snack has really cute shape like chicken drumstick. It has spicy and non spicy flavor. Following picture is the spicy version.
KYOHO JELLY
This jiggly grape flavored jelly has really unique presentation. It is wrapped in ballon and you have to pop it with toothpick. Thanks to viral videos on social media, the snack is really high in demand. We found it at random eMart convenience store.
TOM’S FARM ALMOND
Easily top favorite snack to buy whenever you visit Korea. It has so many flavor and actually available in various kinds of nuts such as macadamia, almond, cashew, etc. The most popular and delicious flavor would be Honey Butter Almond, but we recently tried the new Black Sugar Milktea Flavor and it was fantastically delicious, just like brown sugar boba but in almond snack version.
SAMYANG DUMPLING
We’re not sure if this product is permanent or seasonal only. We found it at CU minimart on April 2019. There were original and carbonara flavors, we have tried both and the original one was our favorite. The dumpling was packed with meaty filling with hint of spicy flavor typical Samyang, very delicious!
MOCHI ROLL CAKE
Another tasty finding at CU Minimart. Soft fluffy roll cake with mochi and cream in the middle, nuff said!
NONG SHIM SMALL BITE RAMYUN SNACK
Famous for their ramyun, Nong Shim also has ramyun snack and it comes in small bite size with various flavors. Me and Mr. Jajan personally love the Jajangmyun flavor the most.
MARKET O REAL BROWNIE
All time fav!! Rich tasting brownie with delicious chocolate taste. Even though it has many flavor, we highly recommend the original one (pink color), it’s the best!
YOUUS DOUBLE TIRAMISU SNACK
Found it at GS25 convenient store and we couldn’t stop after the first bite! Tasty and addicting! Crunchy and coated by tiramisu-flavored chocolate and chocolate powder. It has rice crispy in it, that explains the unique crispy texture. Although it’s tasty as it is, you can try the recommended method to put the snack into freezer for another texture sensation. For this brand, we tried the cheese fondue flavor as well but it was just okay, just skip the cheese fondue and choose tiramisu flavor.
GRILLED FISH SNACK
There are so many brands selling this kind of snack, we just bought any random brand and it was yummy, crunchy savory with nice grilled aroma.
ORION THICK CUT POTATO CHIPS
Me, being a big fan of potato love this chips so much. It’s actually very simple chips with just simple salt and pepper seasoning but I love the texture, unlike thin crispy potato chips, this one has thicker cut and it’s very fun to chew.
VODKA MUDSHAKE
As the name suggests, it’s creamy rich chocolatey drink with rich vodka taste in it.
INKIGAYO SANDWICH
The one we bought wasn’t exactly inkigayo sandwich but pretty similar and it was tasty!! The sandwich we bought has egg corn mayo salad with blueberry jam in it, super unique combination but super delicious. The sweet blueberry jam somehow gave the sandwich nice sweet tangy kick without being too overpowering, sweet salty creamy tasty!
BIBIGO SEAWEED CRISPS
It’s basically seaweed with brown rice cracker snack. The texture is really crispy and it’s low in calories, what’s there not to love?!
SPAM KIMCHI FRIED RICE
Savory tangy spicy kimchi fried rice with chunks of spam in it, perfect for quick instant meal option.
ORION FISH-SHAPED MOIST & CHEWY CAKE
Fish shaped sponge cake with chewy mochi-like filling inside. Fluffy, moist and chewy as the name suggests.
GIMBAP
If Japan has onigiri, Korea has gimbap. It comes in various shapes and sizes with twist of Korean flavor. Out of many tasty options, one of the must try has gotta be spam kimchi gimbap.
HAITAI SHINDANGDONG SOY SAUCE CHICKEN TOPPOKI SNACK
Another addictive snack that we HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It tastes like Korean fried chicken with soy sauce seasoning but in crunchy snack version.
BINGGRAE BANANA MILK
Of course you cannot miss trying the famous Banana Milk. Please note that the milk has very light and less creamy taste and it’s not too sweet so maybe many not everyone can appreciate the taste. Besides Banana, it has many other flavors too, on our 2019 Dec visit to Korea, we had Sweet Potato flavor and it was really really good!
LOTTE YOGHURT JELLY
It tastes like Yakult, sweet and abit sour but in chewy sweet jelly shape.
LOTTE MALANG COW MILK CANDY
If you’re familiar with white rabbit milk candy, this one has similar taste but the chewy texture is a bit marshmallow-like.
GUYLIAN CHOCOLATE MILK
Lot of love for this rich Belgian chocolate milk by Guylian. It’s really tasty and rich but very hard to find.
MARKET O REAL CHEESE CHIPS
If you love Japan’s Cheeza, or you love cheese, you’ll love this cheese chips by Market O too. The crunchy chips has nice cheese flavor but not as strong as Cheeza so we think more people can enjoy it.
LOTTE MOCHI PIE
Famous for their Choco Pie, personally we think this one is TASTIER! Chewy soft rice mochi with chocolate filling and covered by chocolate. Mashita!!
