No no no, this is not a hospital, not a place for sick people, it’s a place to satisfy our appetite. Hospitalis is a newly opened hospital theme restaurant and bar at South Jakarta Kebayoran Baru area. Let’s see how they decor the restaurant.
Hospitalis is located opposite HEMA restaurant, you can see detailed address and map in the end of this post. They have a quite unique concept and decor to make their customer feel like dining inside a hospital instead of restaurant, of course hospital in a fun way.
Hospitalis uses hospital equipment to decor their restaurant with mostly white and red color. You can see from the pictures above, that the furniture inside Hospitalis most likely are resemblance of the equipment you can find usually at hospital such as wheel chair, bed headboard, lights in the operating room, etc. Even their staff also wearing doctor and nurse uniform.
Not only with the decoration, Hospitalis also use unique eating utensils such as lab glass, syringe, lab tray, blood bag, infusion bag, etc. Super unique and fun rite??
Hospitalis offers many drink selection starting from non alcohol to alcohol with price range IDR 12k to IDR 100k per glass.
As for the food, here you can find Indonesia, Japanese and western menu starting from tapas/ snack, main course to dessert such as pasta, fried rice, sushi, ramen, etc with price range IDR 21k to IDR 58k.
Nasi Gila Hospitalis IDR 32k
A place of rice topped with meatball, sausage and egg stir fry served with crackers surprisingly was so good. It has been a while since the last time we had a great Indonesian Nasi Gila and this one was simply satisfying.
Spaghetti Salmon and Mushroom IDR 52k
Salmon and mushroom spaghetti with creamy sauce, it was a bit bland and just okay.
Local Anasthetic IDR 40k
Orange juice, pineapple juice, strawberry juice, virgin caviar
Unique presentation of drink, served with lab glass and syringe. Inject the juice inside syringe and mix all of them together with the caviar to enjoy it. It was refreshing and not too sweet at all, very nice.
Fresh Transfusion IDR 38k
Marmalow syrup, lime juice, strawberry juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, symple syrup
Another unique presentation of drink, served with infusion drip stand, you need to drip it slowly to you glass before enjoy it. AnakJajan like this one better, it has more acidic, fruitier and fresher.
Overall, Hospitalis Restaurant and Bar offers a new and fresh concept in Jakarta, dining inside a restaurant with hospital interior & equipment was absolutely a new experience for us. Let’s Jajan!!

Wow… what can I say? It’s a bit creepy for me and somewhat “morbid”. Nevertheless, it sure is a “different” themed restaurant. I’d probably try this before going to the “toilet” theme restaurant in Japan. :-))
Haha, The famous toilet restaurant is from Taiwan called Modern Toilet. i’ve tried the toilet restaurant theme also, it’s quite fun actually. 🙂
Passed this resto few days ago! Didn’t know it’s so interesting inside. It’s almost the same as a resto/bar in Singapore with hospital concept. Too bad it’s already closed down.. Will try this for sure!
