A few weeks ago, AnakJajan went to Karawaci because we wanted to go to Sajiva Coffee. But the moment we arrived, we were starving and decided to have lunch first. Mr.Jajan was craving for Korean food and curious about Myeong Ga Myeon Ok.
Myeong Ga Myeon Ok is a Korean restaurant located in Karawaci Office Park , Pinangsia Area. Many Koreans live around here and there are tons of korean restaurants around, also a Korean supermarket Mu Gung Hwa. Myeong Ga Myeon Ok which serves Korean BBQ and other authentic Korean foods such as mandu (korean style dumpling), pajeon (korean pancake), jjigae, etc.

The good side of this Korean restaurant is that they serve A LOT OF banchan! From kimchi, varieties of vegetables, Korean pancake, seaweed soup, fried fish, squid, and also steamed egg (Gyeran Jjim). AnakJajan love the Korean Pancake and steamed egg so much!! Their Pancake was still hot and crispy on the outside. Tasty!! And for the steamed egg, it was super fragrant, fluffy, and light.

For BBQ, there are minimum meat order in Myeong Ga Myeon Ok restaurant depending on how many person in one table:
− 2 portions for 2 pax
− 3 portions for 4 pax
− 4 portions for 6 pax
Here are our orders:
Dwae Ji Yang Nyeom Gu I (Grilled Pork with Sauce) IDR 110k
Grilled marinated pork with sweet and salty sauce. So tender and juicy!!
Go Chu Jang Sam Gyeop Sal (Grilled Hot Pepper Paste Fresh Pork Belly) IDR 130k
A portion of fresh Samgyeopsal or pork belly marinated in gochujang sauce /Korean hot pepper paste. Love it!
(check video above for more visual look of the menus)
Gwang Yang Bul Go Gi (Beef Bulgogi in Gwangyang Style) IDR 200k
Yummy!! AnakJajan enjoyed this meat more than other meat because it was super smoky, sweet, and succulent juicy. The sweetness from the marinate was caramelized during grilling and create smokiness to it. My favorite way to eat Korean BBQ is to wrap the meat inside lettuce together with kimchi, rice, green chilli, and Ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce).

Man Du Jeon Gol (Korean Style Dumpling in Hot Pot) IDR 270k
HUGE HUGE size of mandu!! It contains minced pork, Korean sweet potato noodle, etc. For the broth, we can adjust the spiciness of the sauce because they serve the chilli paste separately. The dish was nice and warming, it’s just the broth didn’t taste as good and as flavorful as I expected.

For the drink, they serve us Korean tea for free, but they also have various choice of drinks in their menu. After the meal, they serve watermelon for our dessert. Overall, Anakjajan was pretty satisfied with this Korean restaurant. They serve tasty Korean BBQ and lots of banchan variety. We are waiting for our next visit to Myeong Ga Myeon Ok. So, what is your favorite Korean BBQ restaurant around Jakarta? Let’s Jajan!!
