FOOD FIGHTERS – Blok M Melawai, Jakarta

Introducing Food Fighters, a new and hot hangout spot filled with freshest street stalls under one roof in Melawai area Jakarta.

Food Fighters is more like a mini version or season 2 of Pasar Santa, if I may say so. Because almost all of the tenants there are originated from Pasar Santa.

The place is quite spacious and more comfortable to hang and chill compared Pasar Santa. The location is also easy to reach and spot since it is located inside Melawai Blok M area right below FaveHotel. AnakJajan love how they decorate the place with vintage game arcade mural making it a perfect background for instagram picture at every corner.

There are 10 different tenants at Food Fighters at this moment, let’s see what they have!

KOPI PASAR
It is collaboration between ABCD Coffee and Bear&Co where you can get various coffee by ABCD and beer by Bear&Co.

JUDAS KITCHEN
If you love to go to bazaar, you may already be familiar with this name. Judas Kitchen is the place to go if you are looking for healthier & less guilty menu as they provide various healthy drink such as juice, smoothie and infused water. But specially in Food Fighters, they also serve healthy food just like the one we had Mushroom Burger IDR 30K with juicy portobello mushroom, sunny side up egg and feta cheese served with less-oil air-fried sweet potato fries.

MIECHINO
Mie Chino is one of the famous store in Pasar Santa serving humble Indonesian noodle. They are specialized in Mie Karet or elastic al-dente noodle served with savory soy seasoned chicken and mushroom. To go with their noodle, AnakJajan highly recommend you to have additional beef ball and crispy wonton for extra pleasure.

Or if you are not in the mood for noodle, you can try their Bahnmi Lemongrass Beef IDR 30k with crispy yet soft bun and extremely flavorful juicy Lemongrass Beef and crunchy vegie.

BEVERAGES by FOOD FIGHTERS
Along with other variety of drinks, Food Fighters has a this eye catchy one called Kakigori IDR 35k. Colorful shaved ice drink served with sweet seaweed agar, ice cream, popcorn, pocky sticks and cotton candy. It is available in three colors and flavors, Red for strawberry, Blue for blue curacao and Green for melon.

BONARA PASTA
If you are craving for Italian food, you can find it here at Bonara Pasta. AnakJajan had their Penne Pesto Ricotta IDR 35k and it was nice and enjoyable, we also had their pizza with 4 kinds of cheese topping which was delicious as well and packed with cheesy goodness.

BLACK JACK
Black Jack offers various menu in black color using the trending bamboo charcoal. You can find various menu with black color just like the Jumbo Burger IDR 45k AnakJajan had, black burrito wrap, black noodle, etc.

YIPIKO WINGS

Need something light yet savory? Yipiko Wings could be a great choice as they serve chicken wings in various seasoning. AnakJajan had their Salsa Wings and Buffalo Wings and we enjoyed it especially the spicy Buffalo Wings that were served with addicting nicely seasoned homecut fries, love it!

ZUCKER WAFFLE
There are several types of waffle with different texture and here in Zucker Waffle, you can find Belgian Liege Waffle. Liege waffle has more dense texture a bit similar with bread with pearl sugar added in the dough that provides a lightly sweet and distinctive flavor.

Here in Sate Bumbu Oma you can find a unique meat skewers or satay. Available in chicken or lamb, the seasoning is very unique with sweet sour base sauce from NTT. Don’t forget to order Bruine Bonen Soup, a comforting savory red bean soup.

Sate Bumbu Oma also serve pudding with various flavor. The puddings were very enjoyable with silky texture and balance sweetness, personal favorite would be Irish Coffee flavor with smooth custard sauce, must try!

PAPRICANO & SLOPPY BRO
This booth is a collaboration between Papricano and Sloppy Bro where you can get both Mexican and American food. Papricano serves various authentic Mexican food for example the Quesadilla IDR 25k AnakJajan had, it was delicious and seasoned nicely and taste even better with their amazing homemade guacamole and tangy tomato salsa. While Sloppy Bro serves American sloppy joe, tomato based ground beef sandwiched in soft hamburger bun.

Overall, Food Fighters is a great place to hang with a wide selection of menu from sweet to savory, Indonesian to Mexican, snack to heavy meal. It’s going to be one of the hippest hangout spots in Jakarta. Let’s Jajan!!
