AnakJajan bet that one thing you would not leave behind during traveling is your camera, be it smartphone or camera, you wouldn’t want to miss the chance to capture the beauty of Tokyo.

For best spots, AnakJajan can easily say that any random street or corner in Tokyo can become instagram-worthy photo spot. Seriously anywhere in Tokyo can look so instagrammable, but of course there are several locations that are exceptionally picturesque, places that we call hidden gems. Here are the list:

1. TOKYU PLAZA OMOTESANDO HARAJUKU
Tokyu Plaza has gotta be one of the most instagrammable spots in Omotesando-Harajuku area. It’s the entrance area with quirky unique glass ceiling that makes people stop for pictures. The glass reflection gives you this kind of futuristic vibes.

2. HIE JINJA 日枝神社
Kyoto Vibes in Tokyo?! AnakJajan bet many of you plan your visit to Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto simply because you want to see and take picture of the signature red Torii gates right? Just admit it 😀

Well you don’t have to travel all the way to Kyoto because right in the middle of Tokyo, there’s a shrine called Hie Shrine that features vibrant red path of Torii gates. Since it’s less crowded and it’s smaller in terms of size, it makes a better photo spot.

3. OMOIDE YOKOCHO
Known as the Memory Lane of Shinjuku, Omoide Yokocho is a charming place to visit. Visiting the small alley feels like we’ve traveled back to the past. During the night, you’ll find inviting aroma of BBQ from Yakitori joints.

4. SHIBUYA HIKARIE
For awesome view of Shibuya crossing from above, head over to Shibuya Hikarie shopping mall and visit the Sky Lobby on 11th Floor. You’ll be able to get a nice view of Shibuya Crossing from the huge glass window.

5. NEZU SHRINE
Nezu Shrine is another interesting spot. The tranquil Shinto Shrine features small tunnel with red Torii gates as well. Aside from taking picture, take a walk, enjoy the beautiful landscape and the peaceful vibes.

6. GODZILLA at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku
Beware! Godzilla is taking over Tokyo!! Right in the middle of Shinjuku Kabukicho entertainment district, you can find a huge Godzilla looks out over the city from the eighth floor of Hotel Gracery Shinjuku.

Besides taking picture of the Godzilla itself, you might be able to capture the busy city vibes of Kabukicho area too. For those who wonder, yes Hotel Gracery Shinjuku offers Godzilla monster themed hotel rooms. Quick fact, do you know that Godzilla is officially recognized as a citizen of Japan?!

7. STATUE OF LIBERTY – ODAIBA
Located just outside Aqua City Mall, enjoy small scale of Statue of Liberty with picturesque view of Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay.

8. TOKYO CITY VIEW – ROPPONGI
For you guys who have been wondering where is the best place to enjoy city view of Tokyo, Tokyo City View Observatory Deck at Mori Tower, Roppongi Hills might be the answer.

Located on the 52nd floor at the top of Mori Tower, Tokyo City View observation deck has an amazing indoor and outdoor viewing platforms where you can get a very nice view of Tokyo Tower closely and Tokyo Sky Tree from a distance. AnakJajan think many of you can easily agree if we call Japan as the country of vending machines. With more than 5 million vending machines nationwide, finding vending machine is an easy task. Simply walk to the nearest vending machine and voila you’ll get a nice and colorful photo background.

10. SHIBUYA CROSSING
A visit to Tokyo won’t be complete without going to the Shibuya Crossing, taking picture of Hachiko Statue and crossing the street, both are basic must do thing in Shibuya. You can take picture directly on the street but for a better view of the street from above, go to the 2nd floor of Shibuya Mark City, there’s an indoor bridge connecting two buildings with window facing the street.
