If AnakJajan have to mention one of the best and tastiest restaurant in Jakarta, Avec Moi would be the one!
Avec Moi serves modern French cuisine. It is located at Office Park Thamrin City building, the same complex with Tanamera Coffee shop. The interior of Avec Moi is pretty interesting with bunny mascot.
The restaurant is consist of 3 floors with huge window opening with calming view of trees, I could sit here all day. On the top floor you will find lounge/bar ambiance full of bottles of liquor in the shelf.
Salade Avec Moi IDR 65k
One of the best salad ever! Fresh mesclun, roasted tomatoes and grilled chicken were seasoned with roated sesame dressing and topped with fried shallots, creamy nutty yet very light. Must try!
Mushroom Cappuccino Pumpkin Tortellini IDR 55k
Simple warm and hearty mushroom soup with perfectly cooked tortellini.
Salmon Tartare, 63C degrees Egg IDR 83k
Pardon me for the egg p0rn 🙂 Mix the salmon tartar with the melting sous vide egg and spread it to the buttered grilled baguette for the crunchy rich creamy sensation.
Foie de Poulet IDR 50k
Chicken liver rilettes, caramelized onion, pickled vegetables, grilled baguette
AnakJajan are never a fan of chicken liver but this one was good, it was interesting and nicely seasoned.
Foie Gras IDR 155k
Nicely roasted duck liver was nicely combined with spiced fruit and orange glaze making the foie gras not too heavy.
Prawn Pasta IDR 88k (Linguine/ Spaghetti)
This was one of my favorite dish, the spaghetti was perfectly cooked al dente with roasted tiger prawns in garlic, sous vide egg, chili flakes, parsley. I love the sous vide egg addition making the pasta became very creamy and delicious, the seasoning was perfect and full of prawn oil goodness!
Bacon Carbonara IDR 78k (Linguine/ Spaghetti)
Same with the pasta above, this one was also good! It was cooked with roasted pork bacon, sous vide eggs, grated parmigiano, garlic and Sarawak black pepper.
Boeuf Bourguignon IDR 140k
One of the most memorable dish, sous vide wagyu beef shank with red wine juice, grilled sous vide vegetables and mashed potato. The sous vide wagyu beef shank was freaking tender and absorbing the rich red wine juice very well.
Kakuni Pork Belly Burger IDR 138k
This burger was one of the best burger we had ever!! You might not be able to see it from the picture, but below the shiny pork belly there are juicy beef patty, mixed slice lettuce and caramelized onion served with fries. Super recommended!
Orange Souffle IDR 60k
Fluffy light airy souffle with rich vanilla Haagen-Dazs ice cream. We really love the refreshing orange citrus flavor in it, it made this whole dish became very light and addicting.
Valrhona Chocolate Fondant IDR 65k
Sooo good! Perfectly baked rich Valrhona manjari chocolate fondant with melting center served with strawberry sauce and Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
Mr. Jajan asked me when will we revisit Avec Moi the minute we left this restaurant which is considered to be a very rare case to hear this kind of request from him. We had a very very satisfying meal at Avec Moi, the food here were simple, honest and excellent. Give it a try, we are sure that you’ll love it as much as we did. Let’s Jajan!!
