HURRICANE’S GRILL – Gunawarman Jakarta, Indonesia

The highly anticipated restaurant in Gunawarman area, Hurricane’s Grill from Sydney – Australia is finally ready to serve the crowd in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The opening of this legendary ribs and steak restaurant from Sydney has been talk of the town since a few months ago and finally it is happening!! Hurricane’s grill is scheduled to be opened for public on Sunday 30th August 2015.

Hurricane’s Grill is a very famous and successful restaurant in Australia especially Sydney serving various scrumptious grilled dishes and they are expanding the business to Indonesia, the first outlet in Asia.

Hurricane’s Grill outlet in Indonesia is located at Gunawarman street next to Senopati street, right across H Gourmet. The spacious restaurant is decorated with chic industrial concept with three areas, bar, dining and vip area.

FYI, Hurricane’s Grill Indonesia will be serving the exact same menu available at Hurricane’s Grill Australia and for every purchasement of main course at Hurricane’s Grill Indonesia, they will be donating a meal for for those in need under Tangan Harapan foundation, it’s nice to know that besides business they also think about giving back to the community.

Mixed Salad IDR 118k
Crispy iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion with vinaigrette dressing. It could use more dressing but vegetables was extremely crunchy and fresh, it is nice option to balance heavy meat dish.

Caesar Salad IDR 128k + Pork Floss IDR 70k
Crispy lettuce, croutons, bacon, anchovies, shaved parmigiano and caesar dressing with additional pork floss. Loveeee the crunchy texture of deep fried pork floss.

Signature Pork Ribs IDR 358k Half Rack/ IDR 548k Full Rack
Tender pork ribs nicely smeared Hurricane’s signature ribs sauce served with fries or baked potato with sour cream. Ribs meat was quite tender and seasoned nicely but I wish it was more smoky though.

Beef Ribs IDR 358k Half Rack/ IDR 448k Full Rack
AnakJajan personally enjoyed the beef more, we just love the how well the beef ribs paired with their sweet tangy ribs sauce also it has more meat compared to pork ribs. If you are having problem in choosing which meat you want, you can try order the meat combo instead.

Seafood Platter IDR 1.288k
A platter of fried salt and pepper calamari, mussels, garlic prawns, scallops, salmon and addicting rosemary butter rice. Seafood was fresh and sweet, they cooked it nicely even the calamari was so sooo tender although calamari was a bit too salty but the others were fine. Portion wise was extremely generous and huge it’s more suitable for sharing maybe for two, three or even four people.

Cheese and Bacon Burger IDR 238k
Burger with beef patty, pickle, melted cheese, and crispy pork bacon. It was nice but not as memorable as the Southern Chicken Burger below.

Southern Chicken Burger IDR 238k
Burger with fried southern chicken, onion, tomato and bacon. The chicken was the main highlight, nicely fried and seasoned with sweet tangy sauce. Even though the price is a bit on the steep side for a chicken burger, AnakJajan really enjoyed it.

Overall, if you are a meat lovers especially an ex-Sydneysider or Hurricane’s die-hard fan, you know where to go to satisfy your cravings. Let’s Jajan!!
