PEACOCK LOUNGE – Fairmont Hotel Jakarta Indonesia

Ever since our visit to 1945 Restaurant at Fairmont Hotel Jakarta, AnakJajan and friends have been eyeing on the afternoon tea at Peacock Lounge.

There are basically two main reasons why we are so excited to visit Peacock Lounge, one is because the place so sooo pretty, girly and homey.
The sophisticated lounge is nicely decorated with classic homey decor complete with bright natural light that makes everyone feels like home.

Second reason would be because the afternoon tea itself, their signature afternoon tea is served in a freaking chest of drawers!! But of course if a sophisticated way, pretty white leather chest of drawers.

Last Sunday, AnakJajan had an afternoon tea double date with Eddy from Eshtravaganza and Shelmi from The Delicacies Journal. The lounge is located on the ground floor near lobby area of newly opened Fairmont Hotel at Senayan area. It is getting popular even though it’s a new place so if you want to sit at the sofa or near window, we highly recommend you to make a reservation first.

One set of signature afternoon tea consist of petit four, scones, tea sandwiches and canapes complete with hot TWG tea or coffee for two.
As I’ve said before, the afternoon tea is served in a handcrafted leather jewelry box that looks like a chest of drawers. The petit four were soooo adorable and nicely crafted, just look at the strawberry or bag shaped chocolate, too pretty to be eaten right?!

The afternoon tea was such a feast for the eyes and tummy because not only pretty, it was also taste delicious. From sweet to savory, everything was nicely prepared and satisfying but specially for the scones personally I would still prefer the ones from Shangri-La. Portion wise was also very generous as well, we shared a set for four people but we could’t finish it.

FYI, besides afternoon tea set, you can also purchase single portion of cake or drink.

Overall, AnakJajan’s Sunday afternoon was spent well with homey relaxing ambiance, delicious food, amazing service at Peacock Lounge complete with amazing friends. AnakJajan might say that it’s one of the best places for afternoon tea in Jakarta at this moment. Considering the amount of food and drinks, the price of this afternoon tea set is very reasonable. Let’s Jajan!!
