ARJUNA CAFE & PHOTO STUDIO – Wijaya, Jakarta

Time to share with you one of our favorite places in town, a hidden gem called Arjuna Café and Photo Studio in Wijaya/ Dharmawangsa area.

In Jakarta, there are not many places to visit or activities to do, besides going to the mall and movie theater, AnakJajan usually spend our times doing cafe and restaurant hopping. A while ago, we found this gem called Arjuna Café and Photo Studio, the cozy cafe offers different vibes that we instantly fell in love with.

The cafe is surrounded by lush green garden with nice nostalgic interior resulting a relaxed ambiance, it’s super cozy you’ll feel like you’re not in Jakarta. The cafe also happens to be a photo studio specializes in nostalgic old-school shoot, you’ll see so many customers with makeup and customes passing by.

It just feels nice to sit there for hours looking at the lush green scene from the window, to chat, to enjoy time together, to relax.

Arjuna Cafe serves simple unpretentious dishes, various kind of homemade comfort food such as Fried Rice, Fried Noodle, Grilled Chicken Rice, Fried Tempeh, Old-school Donut, Classic Toast, etc with relatively reasonable price.

Bakwan Jagung IDR 30k

Both Tempe Goreng and Bakwan Jagung are our favorites, the deep fried tempeh has just the right thickness, soft on the inside while crunchy on the outside, served with classic chili & sweet soy sauce. While the Bakwan Jagung looks more like rempeyek with thin crunchy batter and bits of corn, super crunchy and super addictive.

Well, AnakJajan gotta say that Arjuna Cafe is just a perfect spot to escape from the bustle of the city, the nostalgic decor and green gardens are pleasing for the eyes, then the simple humble dishes are just nice to satisfy the tummy.
