Located in Plaza Senayan, Bijin Nabe is a Japanese restaurant specializing in Japanese Premium Collagen Hot Pot. It’s the sister brand of Tsukada Nojo Japanese Izakaya from Japan.
The posh looking restaurant has a very lovely decor with huge centerpiece, you can totally feel the zen vibes upon entering. As the name suggests, Bijin Nabe is their signature menu, it is basically Golden Collagen chicken stock hot pot that is made by stewing the chicken stock for 8 hours to bring out the best flavor and the collagen.
The Bijin Nabe hotpot is available in 5 options; Original, Seafood, Spicy, Sukiyaki, and Shabu-Shabu. Of course, Bijin Nabe offers much more than just their signature collagen hotpot, you can find other Japanese dishes such as noodle, tempura, rice bowl, sushi, etc.
Every day from 11.00 to 16.00 they have lunch menu set ranging from IDR 75k to IDR 95k including choice of menu, collagen soup, mini salad, and rice. If you’re not in the mood for sharing hotpot dish, for lunch on weekday they also have Personal Original Bijin Nabe menu which is such a great option.
AnakJajan have been curious about this restaurant since last year and finally our curiosity paid off. Let’s take a look of some of the favorite items:
Spicy Salmon Carpaccio IDR 75k
The salmon is dressed with spicy mayonnaise and ponzu sauce. AnakJajan gotta say that the flavor balance is just spot on, refreshing tangy, it makes us regain our appetite and ready for the next meal.
Spicy Salmon Roll IDR 88k
The spicy sauce on salmon sushi roll tastes kinda exotic but familiar (in a good way), it kinda reminds us of Singaporean chili crab sauce, spicy savory with subtle sweet flavor and ginger aroma, just perfect to cater our Indonesian tastebuds.
Chicken Namban IDR 55k
The golden deep fried chicken remains juicy and tender on the inside, it’s served with signature tartar sauce that has a well-balanced creamy tangy taste. Besides the signature one, it’s available in spicy version as well.

Salmon Miso Bijinmen IDR 88k
Bijinmen or Bijin Ramen is available on lunch time from 11.00 to 16.00, the ramen soup is made from their signature collagen chicken soup and it’s available in various options. AnakJajan opted for Salmon Miso Bijinmen consists of ramen served in miso flavored chicken collagen soup with salmon, corns, bean sprout, spinach, and nori seaweed on the side. The soup is absolutely amazing!! Thick rich full of umami and the use of miso gives the soup extra kick of flavor, a must try indeed!
Original Bijin Nabe IDR 298k Medium/ IDR 430k Large
For Bijin Nabe, AnakJajan had their signature original medium size that is suitable for sharing up to 3 people. The set comes with collagen soup, fresh vegetables, mushroom, chicken, tofu, meatballs, etc.
Since the soup is 100% full of collagen, it will turn into silky pudding shape when it cools down, but it will instantly melt once heated.

The soup is very rich in umami with just the right level of seasoning we can enjoy it without the need of adding any condiments to the broth. Even though the consistency of soup is very rich and thick, it tastes very enjoyable, comforting and not too heavy. The chicken breast has an impressive tender texture, Mr. Jajan loves it so much.
These past years, AnakJajan have tried collagen hotpot at several places but personally the one in Bijin Nabe suits us the most, it has the most well-balanced broth consistency and seasoning. It doesn’t have any unpleasant chicken smell at all which is a major plus point.
The collagen chicken stock is also packed with lots of vitamins and collagen which is good for health and beauty, no wonder people call it beauty hotpot.

Additional Beef IDR 120k (Medium 160gr)/ IDR 240k (Large 320gr)
For extra pleasure, additional ingredients are available to order such as vegetables, rice, noodles, seafood, meat, or mushroom.
There are 4 condiments for Bijin Nabe; Red Pepper & Garlic, Green Onion Oil, Yuzu Pepper, and Chili Sauce. Lots of love for the Yuzu Pepper, it adds a nice aroma and taste to the meat.
Shaved Ice IDR 58k (Green Tea/ Strawberry/ Mango)
Since there’s always a room for dessert, AnakJajan opted for Green Tea shaved ice with azuki bean and dango or rice-flour dumplings and it was tasty. The combination between bold rich green tea, mily, and soft sweet red bean is just lovely.

Overall, AnakJajan had a great first impression with Bijin Nabe, the food is very comforting, enjoyable and memorable, we honestly can’t wait to be back to to have their nabe again and try other menu.
