As simple or as basic as Jajanan Pasar are, sometimes it’s not easy to find it, not to mention the hygienic one that we can consume safely, that’s why AnakJajan were happy to find it here at Remboelan, there were 9 varieties of classic yet nostalgic sweet and savory Indonesian snacks such as Pukis, Klepon, Lupis, etc.
Nasi Bakul Telor Asin Krakatau IDR 60k
One word, AMAZING!!! Fragrant rice cooked with special herbs topped with shallots, garlic, salted egg, chili and salted fish. This was totally my kind of rice dish, extremely aromatic, savory yet addictive, the portion is perfect for sharing.
Nasi Bakar Tongkol Asap Cabe Hijau IDR 43k
Lemongrass fragrant rice filled with smoked “tongkol” fish, house special “balado ijo”, wrapped in banana leaf and then grilled to produce a tantalizing smoky aroma. The rice was extremely aromatic with just the right amount of seasoning, savory and spicy altogether.
Nasi Bakar Roa IDR 43k
This dish is similar with Nasi Bakar Tongkol Asap Cabe Hijau above, only with different fillings, smoked “roa” fish and “Roa” sambal. It has spicier taste with delightful smoky aroma typical “roa” smoked fish characteristic.
Asem-Asem Iga Putri Solo IDR 79k
The house special spicy and sour beef ribs soup is incredibly appetizing. The broth was full of flavor with just the right amount of spiciness and sourness, omg I’m drooling while writing about this. Meat was also very tender with all those flavors from the soup fully absorbed into it.
Cumi Lada Hitam Bintan IDR 63k
Golden yet crispy deep fried squid drizzled with house special black pepper sauce. The crunchy texture is very addictive while for the sauce, it has a very bold and strong pepper taste with balanced sweet and savory flavor, perfect with rice.
Kepiting Soka Saos Padang IDR 72k
Another tasty dish that made me forget about my diet 😀 deep fried soft shell crab served with Padang style sauce. The soft shell crab was already tasty by itself but the sauce added a nice spicy savory kick to it. Dayum!
Bistik Lidah Jawa IDR 68k
Another classic Javanese dish, beef tongue stew served with potato wedges, carrot, green beans, pickles, and thin potato crisp and signature traditional kampoeng sauce. The beef tongue was incredibly well seasoned yet tender, very delicious it gave me a nostalgic moment.
Oseng Jagung Madura IDR 42k
A killer combination that simply cannot go wrong, stir fried sweet corn with stinky bean and spicy. The corn was sweet, juicy yet spicy with unique hint of stinky bean or pete aroma.
Tumis Bunga Pepaya Kecombrang & Ikan Asap IDR 45k
It’s the dish that Mr. Jajan has been craving for long time, savory yet aromatic stir fried papaya flower and papaya leaf with “kecombrang” flower, shredded fish, and stinky bean.
Tahu Campur Gimbal Timun Mas IDR 42k
Another classic dish with the combination of deep fried bean curd, bean sprouts, prawn fritter, house special and crush peanuts. All of the ingredients complemented each other nicely with delightful combination of texture and sweet characteristic from the seasoning.
Martabak Tipis – Original IDR 25k
Soooo happy that finally my craving for Martabak Tipis Kering is fulfilled!! Out of many popular street food, it’s one of my most favorites and Remboelan makes great Martabak Tipis with amazing crispy texture and buttery taste. Besides original, you can also request additional topping such as Coklat Meses/Kacang IDR 4k, Kelapa/Spekoek IDR 8k and Keju/Kacang Susu IDR 10k.
Malkies Tape Semarang IDR 38k
First time trying this unique combination between crispy fermented cassava sandwich, coconut icecream, chocolate sauce and peanut and I’m hooked! The coconut ice cream plays a major role in making this dish balanced, sweet and salty altogether.
Colenak Lembang IDR 27k
The traditional Sundanese sweet delicacy is also available here, it consists of grilled fermented cassava topped with palm sugar and shredded coconut.
Es Setup Buah Koktil Pantai Batam IDR 30k
Another traditional Indonesian recipe, fruit cocktail consists of papaya, pineapple and chayote cooked in spices infused soup. The fruit are sweet yet spicy with hint of spices, best enjoyed cold.
Es Pisang Ijo Makassar IDR 30k
One of the most popular food from Makassar is their Es Pisang Ijo or banana wrapped in pandan suji mixture then steamed and then served with thick coconut gravy, syrup and shaved ice. The banana is very aromatic and the salty taste from coconut gravy adds a nice balance to the sweet syrup.
