Da famous and legendary SONG FA Bak Kut Teh from Singapore is finally opened in Jakarta babyyy!!
SONG FA Bak Kut Teh literally just opened about 6 days ago in a building called Ozone Mall located right beside Shell gas station, across Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital. You can easily spot it, it’s on the 2nd floor above Seven Eleven. AnakJajan immediately smell a nice bak kut teh aroma when we entered this building. Prepare yourself because the queue will be quite long, we went there sunday lunch time and the queue was craycrayzyy, we waited for 40minutes 30 waiting list.
SONG FA is a legendary famous Bak Kut Teh shop from Singapore since 1969 serving pork ribs soup dish as their signature dish. Unlike the usual bak kut teh that’s available in rich spices brown soup, SONG FA only provide clear pork broth soup. They provide Pork Soup Dishes, Braised Dishes and Side Dishes starting from IDR 10k to IDR 98k, all of the dishes available with several serving sizes from small to large. AnakJajan haven’t tried SONG FA yet, but according to a friend of mine, price and taste here are fairly equal with the one they had in Singapore.
Kailan IDR 30k (Small)
The vegetables was kinda disappointing, AnakJajan barely can taste it since the seasoning was really bland.
Mee Sua IDR 15k
Besides rice, you can also order Mee Sua as a companion to the soup.
Dough Fritter IDR 9k (Small)
AnakJajan HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to order the Dough Fritter aka Cakwe as side dish. It taste really good when you dip it in the soup.
Pork Ribs IDR 68k (Regular)
Regular portion comes with 2 pieces of ribs while Large portion IDR 88k comes with 3 pieces of ribs. The pork soup was really rich with a strong peppery taste, you can always ask for refill for the soup. On the other side, pork ribs was really tender, soft and fall off the bone easily I regret ordering regular size 🙂
Pork Tenderloin IDR 55k (Regular)
Pork tenderloin was amazingly super tender that it kinda melts in you mouth literally, but I prefer the ribs because it was more fragrant and memorable.
Overall AnakJajan was super satisfied with their Pork Ribs. It was amazingly unforgettable and addicting. Gonna back for more really soon. Let’s Jajan!!
