As seen on our instagram @ANAKJAJAN or hashtag #AnakJajanKOREA, last November, AnakJajan travelled to South Korea and just like Japan, we instantly fell in love with Seoul, the city is sooo beautiful especially during autumn season, we left so many memories in our heart. One of the memories that we want to share with you is Petite France. AnakJajan were planning to go to the famous Nami Island, but Petite France is located not very far from Nami Island, so we visited Petite France first, and continued our trip to Nami Island by ferry.
Petite France is a French-style theme park that was constructed in July 2008 in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It is a small French village hidden in the suburbs of Gapyeong. Petite France is made up of museums, workshops, restaurants, cafes and guesthouses.
How to go to Petite France & Nami Island? (Gapyeong Station) by train from Myeong-dong Station
So, here are some steps to guide you to Gapyeong Station (Petite France/ Nami Island) from Myeong-dong Station:
Petite France is still in one area with Nami Island. After you arrive at Gapyeong Station, find the Gapyeong Shuttle Bus, so you can hop on and hop off to Petite France, Nami Island and other destinations with the same bus.
AnakJajan went from Myeong-dong Station Seoul to Gapyeong Station, and the trip was around 90 minutes and continued with around 30 minutes trip to Petite France from Gapyeong Station, the view was very beautiful during our bus ride, we enjoyed the picturesque mountain view with shades of red, orange, yellow and green colors.

There are some performances in this place, such as Orgel Playing, Marionette Dance, A Street Musican, Marionette “Pinocchio, Hand Puppet, etc, with their own schedule that visitors can enjoy.

Since me and Mr. Jajan wanted to go to Nami Island too, we only strolled around for awhile to take some pictures and eat. Because of miscalculation of the bus schedule, we missed the bus and the next bus was scheduled one hour ahead, so we decided to took the taxi from Petite France to Nami Island Ferry Station around 20 minutes which cost approximately KRW 18000.
Overall, AnakJajan felt happy to be able to visit Petite France with pretty French influenced buildings. If you are going to visit Nami Island, try to spare sometime to visit Petite France because it is worth the trip, click following link anakjajan.com/2016/07/14/korea-nami-island-namiseom-travel-guide/ to read about our experience in Nami Island.
