
Known as one the recommended places for fine dining in Jakarta, Cassis has changed into a new concept with new name Cassis Kitchen. With the new concept, Cassis Kitchen is more likely to casual dining place.

AnakJajan honestly love the new concept from Cassis Kitchen, now we can enjoy the meal casually without being too formal in a more reasonable price and of course still with a great quality .


Talking about the place, the restaurant has a modern and lux decor, on the other side the new Lounge area will be launched very soon. The restaurant opens on lunch or dinner time, AnakJajan always love the lunch ambiance there since the restaurant’s window is facing lush green plants resulting a very calm and cozy vibes.

The price range for the food in Cassis Kitchen is between IDR 55k to IDR 450k with wide range of alcohol and non alcohol drinks. Here are some of the recommended and signature dishes:
To start the meal, AnakJajan had the complimentary Lemon Sorbet and soft warm bread. The sweet sour and refreshing sorbet was the perfect started, it did a great job in increasing my appetite.
Potato Leek Soup IDR 85k
Smooth, crunchy and creamy in each spoonful. The combination between crispy potato crouton, creme and caviar was very enjoyable, the caviar gave the dish a lux savory and rich taste.

Spicy Tuna Tacos IDR 75k
Bite size taco with corn tortilla, spicy tuna tartare and pickled red onion. Love the crispy texture from the corn tortilla, the spicy tuna tartar and pickled red onion filling was very delicious, it was fresh, spicy, sour, crunchy and soft altogether.
Pan Roasted Alaskan Scallops IDR 150k
One of the BEST scallop dish IN TOWN AnakJajan must say!! A must must try! The scallops were cooked in perfection, amazing sweetness of scallop sealed perfectly inside the thick juicy scallops complemented by well seasoned beach mushrooms, edamame and citrus brown butter. Ahhh I’m drooling already while writing about it.



2015 Babich, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough IDR 625k
For the starters, AnakJajan had 2015 Babich, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough white wine, it goes really well especially with the Pan Roasted Alaskan Scallops. Recommended!

Roasted Black Cod IDR 275k
This was AnakJajan’s favorite main course, roasted Black Cod with glazed root vegetables, red wine sauce.
The black cod was nicely roasted with crispy skin, slick, juicy smooth thick meat, it was sooo delicious already by itself, the addition of veggies and red wine sauce added more playful and interesting flavors. Totally one of the best dish here.


Steak Frites (240g) IDR 350k
USDA Prime sirloin served with natural cut fries, watercress, maitre’d butter. It was a meaty and savory dish, the addition of maitre’d butter was a genius idea, it enhanced the dish into another level, the fries was also very delicious with savory garlicky taste.



2007 Montes, Aurelio Selection, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa IDR 924k
To complement the main courses, AnakJajan paired it with 2007 Montes, Aurelio Selection, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa red wine, it was a great choice of wine and very suitable with the Steak Frites dish.


Angel Hair Mentaiko IDR 185k
Explosion of mentaiko flavor, that was what AnakJajan taste from this dish. Mentaiko and pasta, a combination that never goes wrong, the angel hair pasta was seasoned generously with spicy mentaiko, garlic and blue prawns with unique twist of flavor by adding basil puree at the bottom of the pasta. Such a unique and tasty combination.



NY Cheese Cake IDR 118k
Such a pretty and delightful plate of cheese cake. The NY cheese cake has a very rich taste and light texture, it was served with sweet and sour fresh strawberry compote resulting a very balanced dessert.



0 Celcius IDR 108k
One word, SENSATIONAL!!! Seasonal sorbet, exotic fruit and prosecco served geniusly in an ICE BOWL! Yes, an ICE BOWL!! There were various of tropical fruits such as dragon fruit, watermelon, peach, melon, pineapple, etc with three scoops of refreshing sweet sour sorbet but the best part is the addition of sparkling wine into the dessert, uhhhmazing!




Banana Chocolate Sphere IDR 108k
Chocolate ball filled with banana ice cream and caramelized banana served with edible soil made from chocolate and salted caramel sauce. To enjoy the dessert, simply pour the hot salted caramel sauce into the chocolate sphere to melt it, it was fun to watch and delicious to eat, a kind of dessert that any chocolate lover can never say no to. Love it!




Overall, good starter, great main courses, amazing ending with beautiful presentation and good quality! It was one of the best meals for AnakJajan in 2016 in Jakarta, will be back for sure! Let’s Jajan!
