POKEMON GO Inspired Food in Jakarta

Raise your hands Sahabat Jajan if you also joined the Pokemon Go craze!! Following the popularity of Pokemon Go game, recently restaurants or cafes in Jakarta have also joined the hype by launching Pokemon Go inspired food, beverages or desserts.

Besides hunting pokemon in Pokemon Go game, AnakJajan also have another mission, that is to catch all of ’em the kawaii or cute Pokemon inspired food in Jakarta. So far we’ve ‘catch’ Pokemon shaped gelato, cake, parfait, cotton candy and coffee. Here are some of our catches.

1. Pokemon Gelato in North Pole Cafe
North Pole Cafe always does a great job in creating pretty and cute looking desserts including their Pokemon inspired gelato.

There are four Pokemon desserts that you can choose, Pikachu IDR 30k, Marill IDR 30k, Weedle Waffle IDR 45k and Jiggly Puff. Marill comes with our favorite flavor, yoghurt while Jiggly Puff definitely is the cutest!! 2. Poke Ball Cake and Pikachu Parfait at Cake a Boo

Cake a Boo also joined the Pokemon Go craze by creating Poke Ball Cake (IDR 50k small) with chocolate almond sponge, hazelnut mousse and touch of surprise also Pikachu shaped parfait Pika Parfait IDR 55k with vanilla ice cream, banana sponge, corn flakes, caramel cream and banana pannacota. 3. Pokemon Cotton Candy at Shirayuki

Shirayuki has the best looking cotton candy desserts in town if we must say. They also created 4 types of Pokemon cotton candy desserts, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Weedle and Pachirisu. The Pokemon cotton candy dessert IDR 42k comes with soft serve ice cream and it is available both in Shirayuki Pantai Indah Kapuk or Taman Anggrek Mall outlet. 4. Pikachu Latte Art
AnakJajan’ve seen in instagram that lately there are few of coffee shops that start to make Pokemon inspired latte art, so when we were hanging out with our friend at Coffee Kulture Baywalk Mall, we asked the barista to make one for us. He kindly agreed to make Pikachu latte art and succeed in second attempt.

If you visit any coffee shop, if the shop isn’t too crowded at that moment, you can try your luck in asking for Pokemon inspired latte art.

Coincidentally all of the Pokemon inspired food are located nearby in Pantai Indah Kapuk and Pluit area, therefore you can plan your Pokemon ‘hunt’ easily in one day.

Along with the time, AnakJajan are sure that there will be more and more Pokemon inspired food popping out in Jakarta, I’m gonna update the list when we find a new ‘catch’ 🙂 LET’S CATCH ‘EM ALL!!
