Currently one of the newest and the most well received restaurants in Pantai Indah Kapuk area, the first outlet of PappaRich in Jakarta.

Continuing their success in Malaysia, after the first outlet in Medan in early 2016, PappaRich has recently opened their first outlet in Jakarta at Pantai Indah Kapuk area on mid July 2016.

PappaRich Jakarta outlet is the 133th outlet worldwide, the restaurant offers wide variety of authentic Malaysian cuisine. It is perfect for early morning breakfast, lunch, afternoon break, dinner or even late nite supper since it opens daily from 07.00 to 01.00.

Judging from the crowd, AnakJajan must say that PappaRich is well received by Jakartans, it is always packed with customers every time we drive pass the restaurant. Let’s see some of their signature and recommended dishes.

Hot PappaRich Cham (Coffee + Milk Tea) IDR 23k
You can never go wrong with a cup of classic coffee and milk tea drink, a must order indeed!

3 Layer Tea IDR 30k
Refreshing drink consists of palm sugar (gula melaka), milk and freshly brewed tea, the sweetness level is just perfect, really love the fragrant tea aroma.

Tropical Lime IDR 35k
For fresher drink option, Tropical Lime drink is a great choice with the combination of lime juice and mint leaves blended together topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Hainan Steamed Bread with Butter + Kaya IDR 30k
It looks simple but it tastes HEAVENLY!!! AnakJajan just fell in love with the warm soft fluffy steamed Hainan bread.
The Hainan bread recipe has been perfected over 70 years, you can tell that the bread is really good by the bread texture, if you press the bread, it will return to its original form.

To accompany the bread, we had butter and the thick smooth homemade kaya spread, it was simply a perfect combination, cannot wait to come back just for this menu!! 🙂

Seafood Curry Laksa IDR 63k
Rich curry laksa topped with festive ingredients, prawns, clams, tofu, deep fried tofu skin and noodle. The curry laksa broth was rich with intense flavor, don’t forget to add a bit of lime juice for extra tangy kick. It was a good bowl of Malaysian laksa indeed.

Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken + Sambal Prawns IDR 60k
AnakJajan have been craving for good plate of Malaysian nasi lemak and finally had our cravings satisfied at Papparich.
The rice was fragrant and tasteful, paired with crispy anchovies, peanut, boiled egg, sambal prawn, fried chicken and chili sauce. The fried chicken itself was special, they call it Mamak Chicken because of the huge size, it was nicely fried with amazing crispy skin and not greasy at all. Highly recommended for nasi lemak lovers!

Chicken Curry IDR 25k
Curious with the chicken curry, AnakJajan ordered additional Chicken Curry dish from “add on” menu to accompany our Nasi lemak, the chicken curry was nice, flavorful and full of spices with tender texture. Besides Chicken Curry, PappaRich has various “add on” items that you can order to complete your meal such as Nasi Lemak IDR 15k, Biryani Rice IDR 18k, Beef Rendang IDR 25k, Whole chicken Leg IDR 29k, Hainan Chicken Rice IDR 15k, etc.

Overall, AnakJajan had satisfying and impressive Malaysian dishes at PappaRich, as we all know there are tons of place in Jakarta that offer Malaysian food but PappaRich definitely stands out among others, highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic Malaysian dishes with great flavors!
