WTF MARKET ID Future. Picnic 2016 – PIK

Happy Weekend Sahabat Jajan!! This weekend don’t forget to visit Marketing Gallery Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 because WTF Market is having an exciting market from 19th to 21st August 2016, Future. Picnic.

WTF or We The Future Market is a one stop entertainment market to eat, shop and play with around 110 local entrepreneurs, AnakJajan must give WTFmarket a round of applause for bringing all the local entrepreneurs in one event.

The event has started from Friday, 19th August 2016, AnakJajan visited the market on the first day, lots of you took screenshots on our snapchat yesterday and ask so many questions, soooo here’s our report on the first day of WTFmarket Future. Picnic.

In the front area, you can see the instagenic picnic area with catchy white tree and mini tents, they call it Futuristic Picnic Area, it is a must visit spot for taking your OOTD picture or just sit there to have a relaxing picnic 😀 There are two food trucks there serving popsicle and fruit juice.

Let’s start with the event first, everyday there are special appearances and performance, on the first day 19 August there where pantomime performance, talkshow with Nikita & Winona Willy, talkshow and meet & greet with Nikita Kusuma, pantomimes mingle and presentation by Moyou Nails.
On the second day 20 August, 15.00 dessert time with Cindercella & Vinna Gracia, 16.30 Talkshow and meet & greet with Cindercella & Vinna Gracia, 18.00 marathon-eating competition and 19.00 live DJ by Skeep Productions.
Then on the third day 21 August, 15.00 talkshow and meet & greet with Winona & Nikita Willy, 16.30 pantomimes and 19.00 live band by Cie.

Ok, move to our most favorite part, the F&B area 😀 AnakJajan must say that the most attractive tenant in the F&B area is La Maison, the popular patisserie from Medan that is famous for their macarons.

It is the first La Maison’s pop up booth in Jakarta and they’re doing really well. You can find around 24 flavors of macarons, the colorful macarons are really inviting, it tastes nice too with lots of interesting flavors, salted popcorn and salted caramel are my personal favorite.

The popular doughnut tenant Dough Darlings also available there, on the second day they will serve lots of unique Indonesia inspired flavors such as kue putu. AnakJajan tried their Pop Doughnut, one with salted egg yolk filling and one with chicken teriyaki. The doughnut has a nice soft fluffy texture, love the small bite size doughnut, making it easier to eat while wandering around.

For pork lovers, several tenants offer interesting pork dishes, here are the three pork items that AnakJajan tried. Bago Jakarta, yummilicious pork belly rice bowl with aromatic Balinese sambal matah; Oh Delicious, must must try their Shanghai Pork Belly with Sambal Matah, rice bowl with spicy sambal matah and tender sweet savory pork belly; Hoghock, Mix Combo Bowl of Pork Knuckle & Satay, the pork meat was so tender and fully seasoned with amazing torch-grilled aroma, it was surprisingly the MOST YUMMY item we had at WTFmarket yesterday, soo good!!

For beverage, here are some of the drink that we tried, Thai iced tea from Dum Dum Thai Drinks, fruit infused water from Water++ and the cute milk drink with unique gas tube packaging from Gas Watt.

If you guys want to try something more unique, the XXL Giant Squid from Yaya Giant Squid and Salmon Poke Bowl from Umeke La are great options, both were satisfyingly delicious, squid from Yaya Giant Squid was nicely fried and seasoned with tender texture, and the Hawaiian Poke Bowl with sushi rice, furikake, marinated raw salmon and various toppings was unique and tasted really nice! All of the food AnakJajan tried were satisfyingly yummy!! Our tummies were dancing happily!

The fashion and hobby area is also exciting with around 80 curated tenants from shoes, phone case, accessories, kids clothing, casual clothing, etc, you can find all here.

Specially for you all the shoes addicts, the sensational and popular shoes brand ITTAHERL is also available in this market.

Overall, WTF Market Future. Picnic event from 19th – 21st August 2016 is a really fun filled event with well-curated tenants, great selection of food, nice collection of fashion and not to mention fully air conditioned venue, definitely a great place that you must not miss!
