After being on renovation, Plaza Senayan’s Food Court is finally back with fresh new and modern look.

Speaking of where to eat, food court has become an essential feature for a mall. With all the options in one area, it’s easy and practical to grab a meal. After more than 21 years, Food Court area in Plaza Senayan has been renovated and reopened this mid May 2018 offering all time favorite tenants as well as new exciting tenants.

The food court area now has a nice clean look with modern vibes, that’s totally a plus point. In total there are 24 tenants, you can find all time favorites like: Carl’s Jr, Hokben, Saint Cinnamon, Cold Stone, Yoshinoya, Golden Lamian, D’crepes, SR Kitchen, Coco Ichibanya, Tamani Express, Auntie Anne’s, KFC, Wingstop, Dum Dum, Chopstix, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Koi Tepanyaki, Han Gang Kitchen, Duta Bakwan & Cwie Mie Malang, including newest addition: Warung Buntut Bang Jack, Pizza Milano, Hunan Fish Noodle, Sugakiya, and Go Katsu.

AnakJajan bet many of you are already familiar with the tenants we mentioned above, so we’re going to share a closer review of two of their new tenants: Warung Buntut Bang Jack & Hunan Fish Noodle.

Warung Buntut Bang Jack
Comfort food at its finest! To get our Indonesian food cravings fixed, AnakJajan give Warung Buntut Bang Jack a try since Jakarta’s weather were gloomy these past weeks, we’re craving for warm soupy dish.

Kopi/ Teh + Pisang Goreng IDR 27k, Kopi/ Teh + Tape Goreng IDR 27k
It has been a while since the last time AnakJajan had these classic Indonesian delicacies, banana and tape/ fermented cassava fritters. Crunchy on the outside while sweet on the inside, both were nicely executed especially the Tape Goreng that left a nice impression.

Sop Buntut Asli IDR 120k
My oh my, Warung Buntut Bang Jack’s oxtail soup totally exceeded our expectation. It turned out to be SO GOOD!! Meat were tender and fall of the bone easily, then the soup was rich in spices and savory full of umami, paired with emping and pickles for extra pleasure.

Since there’s always a room for dessert, AnakJajan got their jackfruit and black sticky rice ice dessert. The Es Nangka was very fragrant and refreshing, while Es Tape Ketan Hitam was unique and enjoyable as well.

Hunan Fish Noodle
Well, this tenant offers a rather unique and different dish. Specializes in Hunan style noodle, Hunan Fish Noodle can be a new and interesting choice.

Combo Miao Signature Fish with Pickled Vegetable IDR 58,182
Miao Signature Fish with Pickled Vegetable + Noodle + Hunan Style Cripsy Tofu + Tea
Noodle was cooked in savory sour and spicy soup, the pickled vegetable plays a major role in making the dish delicious, it reminds us of “bakut sayur asin” but in spicy fish version. As for the noodle, it has a medium thickness with nice elasticity.

Combo Miao Style Fish with Mala Spice IDR 68,182
Miao Style Fish with Mala Spice + Rice + Fried Dumpling + Tea
Even though we’re new to Hunan cuisine, AnakJajan gotta say that the taste surprisingly turned out to be quite familiar and enjoyable. The fish was soft and smooth cooked in savory spicy soup. The fried dumpling was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the dumpling filling tastes like fish cake.

Overall, double thumbs up to Plaza Senayan for transforming their food court with new and fresh look, it makes the eating experience more fun and enjoyable. Great options of tenants as well. Have you been there? Which tenant is your favorite?
