NAGOMI Japanese Restaurant – Kelapa Gading, Jakarta

As we all know, Japanese food is doing really well in Jakarta, for you Sahabat Jajan that need a recommendation on Japanese food in North Jakarta area specifically Kelapa Gading area, you can try visiting Nagomi, a relatively new Japanese restaurant that offers wide variety of Japanese dishes just like ramen, yakisoba, udon, donburi, kushiyaki, robatayaki, sushi, oden, etc.

Nagomi was packed with customers during AnakJajan’s visit, and most of the customers were Japanese which is a good sign. The restaurant is decorated with simple Japanese style decor resulting a homey and warm vibes.

Nigiri Sushi Moriawase IDR 130k
Set of nigiri sushi with various fresh toppings, it’s a perfect choice if you’re looking for a plate of sushi with various toppings to satisfy you sushi craving.

Volcano Roll IDR 60k
Me likey! This fushion sushi dish was nicely done, sushi roll with rich creamy volcano sauce lightly torched and served warm.

Nagomi Bento IDR 150k
AnakJajan always love the idea of bento with a lil bit of everything in one box just like this Nagomi Bento consists of salad, prawn katsu, chicken teriyaki, salmon, oden, chicken karaage, tamagoyaki and pickles. All of the ingredients were complementing each other and cooked nicely for example the chicken was tender and juicy with well-balanced homemade teriyaki sauce.

Katsu OmuRice IDR 83k
Pork katsu or breaded porkloin served with tomato based fried rice covered in omelette and Japanese curry sauce.
The katsu was crunchy on the outside while tender on the inside while curry sauce was nicely cooked with a bit of tangy taste to balance the deep fried katsu. It was an enjoyable dish after all.

Oden Moriawase IDR 50k/ 5pcs or IDR 70k/ 7pcs
Oden is a kind of Japanese dish consisting of various ingredients such as boiled eggs, daikon, fishcakes, etc stewed in a light dashi broth, and you can find it here in Nagomi available in 5 pieces IDR 50k or 7 pieces IDR 70k with various ingredetions daikon, konyaku, shirataki, boten or burdock fish cake, atsuage or beancurd, yasai ball or vegetable fish cake and tamago or egg.

Specially in August, they offer special August Salmon Set Course promotion where customer can enjoy full course of salmon dishes from 5 courses to 8 courses with special price from IDR 138k to IDR 238k. Salmon White Sauce IDR 78k
One of the best dishes AnakJajan had in Nagomi, thick cut of salmon with tender moist texture and savory seasoning, it was very yummy and addictive, AnakJajan finished the whole dish in no time.

Steam Dish Salad IDR 30k
Unique cooking method of salmon, it was a hot version of salmon salad. Steamed salmon with lettuce and tomato topped with tangy tomato dressing. The salmon was shaped beautifully to resemble the shape of rose.

Salmon Croquette IDR 38k
Deep fried salmon croquette served with creamy dipping sauce.

Salmon Aburi Cheese Roll IDR 73k
Another unique salmon dish at Nagomi, sushi roll with cheese and salmon, it was a creamy fusion sushi roll with creamy taste and nice torch-grilled aroma.

Sashimi Set (Toro Sal, Sal Carpaccio) IDR 48k
Fresh thick cut of salmon sashimi served along with refreshing cold salmon carpaccio. Love the freshness of the salmon in this dish.

Overall, food was nice with great variety and nice homey Japanese vibes. If you happen to be in Kelapa Gading area, Nagomi could be a nice choice especially for Japanese food lovers. Let’s Jajan!!
