All ramen lovers in Indonesia would’ve known restaurant called Hakata Ikkousha. Originated from Japan with many branches worldwide, Hakata Ikkousha Indonesia is well known as one of the pioneers of the thick and rich tonkotsu ramen in Indonesia, it was the one who started the tonkotsu ramen hype in Jakarta and along the time they have expanded their business in Indonesia from Jakarta to Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Medan, Bali and Tangerang with various new menu.

Aside from the classic and best selling Tonkotsu Ramen, Hakata Ikkousha has launched various new menu, the taste of ramen in Hakata Ikkousha Indonesia is different from Hakata Ikkousha Japan because it has been adapted to suit Indonesian’s palates where some dishes in Hakata Ikkousha Indonesia are not available in Japan.

AnakJajan recently visited Hakata Ikkousha and tried some of their best selling dishes along with the new Mazesoba menu available in Hakata Ikkousha PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk) and Kelapa Gading only.
Gyoza Babi Bakar IDR 28k
For starter, AnakJajan had the grilled Gyoza with pork filling, it was a really nice gyoza with thin elastic skin, moist juicy filling and nice char-grilled aroma from the cooking method. For the filling you can choose according to your taste, pork, chicken, pork and prawn or chicken and prawn.


Gyoza Babi Goreng IDR 28k
Besides grilled gyoza, the gyoza in Hakata Ikkousha is also available in fried version where they deep fried the whole gyoza until crunchy on the outside while still juicy filling on the inside.

Chashu Babi Tebal (Buta Chashu Thick) IDR 58k
Big fan of this side dish, meaty thick cut of buta chashu grilled nicely with amazing char-grilled aroma. Don’t forget to dip it into the sweet soy based or sour sauce available for extra kick of flavors.



Ayam Goreng (Tori Karaage) IDR 34k
Delightful crispy deep fried chicken with crunchy texture on the outside while juicy on the inside, the size of each karaage is just perfect, not to small and not too big. For this dish, they serve it with spicy mayo sauce and addictive onion sauce with tangy taste to balance the deep fried dish.


Mini Chasu Don (Chicken/ Pork) IDR 18k
Most Indonesians simply cannot live without rice, so if you want to order a bowl of ramen but you also need to have rice, this small bowl of Mini Chasu Don sounds like a great idea. It is available in pork or chicken version, the rice is topped with chopped chicken or pork chashu.


Ramen Babi Special IDR 55k
The classic and signature Tonkotsu Ramen, it is still our favorite until now. Rich and thick broth with hint of garlicky taste, nicely cooked noodle with springy texture and soft tender charsu to complete the dish. All time fav!


Ramen TamTam Chicken/ Pork IDR 58k
For extra spicy kick, AnakJajan had the Chicken TamTam Ramen, the broth is lighter yet still rich with spicy chicken or tamtam topping for extra spicy flavor. The level of spiciness was just spot on, very enjoyable and not too spicy with a bit of sweet flavor in a subtle level. It is also available in pork version.




Ramen Naga Merah IDR 58k
Curly noodle with spicy chicken broth, minced meat and egg. It is a great choice for you who enjoy ramen with bold rich flavors. The chicken-based broth was spicy and a bit creamy from the use of egg in the broth, while curly noodle was very springy, a kind of dish that is suitable for Indonesian’s tastebud.

Mazesoba (Chicken/ Pork) IDR 58k
Hakata Ikkousha has recently launched the new menu called Mazesoba. Available in pork or chicken version, the dry ramen consists of onsen tamago, minced pork/ chicken, mushroom, spring onion, pork/ chicken chashu, tenkatsu and onion.


The way to enjoy this dish is simply by mixing all the toppings and noodle with a few drops of red/ spicy oil and vinegar based on your preference. The Mazesoba was savory with a bit of creamy taste from the use of onsen tamago. For this dish, they use thick noodle with springy texture, you can order additional topping for this dish, onsen tamago IDR 8k, pork chashu IDR 8k, chicken chashu IDR 8k, onion IDR 8k, tamtam IDR 8k and mushroom IDR 8k.



Overall, Hakata Ikkousha is still one of the most reliable restaurants in town for satisfying ramen dish with the consistency and quality of their food. It is a place that you can never go wrong with, if you’re craving for good ramen. Let’s Jajan!!
