Wing Heng Hongkong Dim Sum in Pluit/ Muara Karang area is one of our tasty findings recently. The dimsum is really nice with affordable price we visited the restaurant twice in a month and I believe good stuff must be shared, so here it is the review.

UPDATE: Wing Heng Pluit/ Muara Karang outlet has moved to Pluit Karang Utara street, the same row with Ottoman’s Coffee. We have also updated the price.

There are two outlets of Wing Heng, in Food Plaza Pantai Indah Kapuk and Pluit/ Muara Karang area. The Pluit outlet opens for 24hours which is a good fact considering most restaurants only serve dimsum for breakfast only.

In accordance with the name, Wing Heng serves various steamed, soup and fried dimsum along with a few of rice and noodle dishes with price ranging from IDR 17k to IDR 30k, pretty affordable isn’t it??

Bakpau Telur Asin (Salted Egg Bun) IDR 20k
One of the menu that got my attention instantly was the steamed bun filled with salted egg yolk and it was indeed tasty. Soft fluffy steamed bun filled with glorious molten salted egg yolk filling with sweet, salty and creamy flavors, you simply cannot say no to it!

Siomai Babi (Pork Siumay) IDR 19k
One thing that I hate from restaurants who serve dimsum is the use of frozen dimsum with mediocre taste but the pork siumay here tastes nothing like it. Home made from scratch with the combination of pork and shrimp, the siumay tastes delicious and very juicy.

Babi Goreng Crispy (Crispy Pork) IDR 22k
Cubes of pork deep fried nicely until crunchy on the outside. Don’t forget to dip it into the spicy chili condiments with spicy and tangy taste for extra flavors kick.

Mie Babi Steam (Steamed Pork Noodle) IDR 31k
There are 5 options of noodle and AnakJajan opted for the minced pork topping. Minced pork topping was just okay with strong ginger aroma but the thin noodle itself was really addictive with springy texture and savory taste.

Steam Bakso Babi (Steamed Pork Meatballs) IDR 19k
Curious with the taste, we ordered steamed pork meatballs and it was also pretty nice with addictive bouncy texture, it tastes better when you dip it into the sweet and spicy dipping sauce for dimsum. Soup version also available and we had it on the first visit, they serve with salty garlicky soup, very addictive but wayyyy too much umami it made us very thirsty afterwards.

Ceker Ayam (Steamed Chicken Feet) IDR 19k
The chicken feet here is served in generous portion with just the right amount of seasoning, peppery enough, savory enough, tender enough. Me likey!

Lumpia Steam (Steamed Spring Rolls) IDR 19k
Available in deep fried version or steamed version, AnakJajan opted for steamed version and it was scrumptious with comforting soy based sauce and juicy filling.

Kue Pandan (Steamed Pandan Cake) IDR 17k
Mr. Jajan’s must order item, sweet steamed cake with pleasant soft fluffy pillowy texture and sweet-smelling pandan aroma.

Overall, AnakJajan are happy to find a nice place for dimsum that suites our palates, budget friendly with long opening hours, be it breakfast or late night supper, we can have it anytime, a return is totally a must! Let’s Jajan!!
