OTTOMAN’S COFFEE BREWERS – Pluit, Jakarta

Ottoman’s Coffee Brewers is one of the well known coffee shops in Jakarta, located in Muara Karang – Pluit area, North Jakarta. It is still a relatively new spot and recently they have started to serve more food option from all day breakfast, brunch, lunch to dinner, which is a plus point since we can have both coffee and meal in one place.

Besides new food menu, they have also extended the opening hour from 7 AM to 10 PM so it would be more convenient for customer to grab a cup of coffee and meal from early morning till late night in the cozy modern space.

At Ottoman you can find black or white espresso based coffee, cold or hot, other than that they also offer many types of brewing techniques such as V60, Kalita wave, Aeropress or Syphon technique.

AnakJajan have been visiting Ottoman twice and we must say that Ottoman certainly serves good quality of coffee, the character of their coffee is more on the balanced side with medium body.

Cheese Ball IDR 43k // Pink Magic Smoothie IDR 48k
Warm tasty balls consist of parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs with melted mozzarella cheese in the middle and served with BBQ sauce. It was simply DA BOMB!! The creamy BBQ sauce gave the cheese balls a very nice balanced of flavors, me likey! As for drink option, Ottoman also serves healthier option of drink especially for non coffee person such as Pink Magic smoothie drink consists of dragon fruit, banana, mango and orange or Acai Smoothies IDR 48k consists of acai berries, strawberries, mixed berries and yoghurt.

Raw Kale & Quinoa Salad with Halloumi Cheese IDR 68k
Fresh and healthy salad dish with kale, quinoa, apple, pine nuts. halloumi, and yuzu dressing. The ingredients complemented each other nicely with different textures and perfected with refreshing tangy citrusy yuzu dressing.

Smashed Avocado and Feta Cheese with Poached Egg on Sourdough IDR 65k
Avocado lovers would definitely love this dish!! Sour dough with avocado, poached egg, feta cheese and pesto sauce. The combination between creamy avocado and all ingredients was simply spot on. AnakJajan personally think that this menu goes really well with a cup of espresso in the morning to start the day.

Croque Madame IDR 70k
The main difference between Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame is the addition of egg and bacon in Croque Madame and both brunch dishes are available at Ottoman.

AnakJajan had the Croque Madame with sourdough, beef ham, Swiss cheese, bechamel, egg, bacon, house salad and it was such a killer combination! Savory, cheesy and creamy altogether with fresh salad and tangy yuzu dressing for a great balance. Highly recommended!

Bacon, Chorizo with Potato Hash IDR 68k
This dish made me happy since I’m a big fan of any potato dish 😀 It was super tasteful with bacon, chorizo, fries, avocado and scrambled egg. Savory and very addictive!

Naked Burrito Bowl IDR 65k
One of the best selling dishes in Ottoman, Naked Burrito Bowl with spiced rice, chorizo, topped with black beans, avocado, sour cream, tomato salsa, feta cheese and poached egg. Mix all of the ingredients evenly to enjoy it. It was fresh and festive with creamy taste but not too heavy, I can see why it’s so popular.

Steak And Eggs IDR 99k
Major love for this steak menu at Ottoman, 150gr bone breaker infused butter sirloin steak with poached eggs, mashed potato & house salad. The steak was well seasoned, savory and buttery while juicy and tender, was hoping that the egg yolk can be more runny but other than that everything was perfect.

Granola Smoothie Bowl IDR 65k + Red IDR 5k
For light and healthy meal replacement, Ottoman offers three options of smoothie bowls: Red (dragon fruit, papaya, mixed berries, banana), Yellow (mango, pineapple, banana) or Green (spinach, banana, pineapple). Specially for Red you need to add additional IDR 5k. The presentation is very pretty and it tastes yummy too.

Overnight Oats with Chia Seeds IDR 45k
Another healthy option available at Ottoman, smooth overnight oats topped with various fresh toppings, berries, apple, granola and honey.

Overall, all of the new food menu from Ottoman are quite promising, great presentation, spot on seasoning and fresh ingredients. Yay for great coffee and all day brunch, lunch and dinner dishes! Let’s Jajan!!
