GRANDMA’S SUKI – Jakarta

A couple weeks ago, AnakJajan visited Grandma’s Suki’s outlet in Pantai Indah Kapuk, the family restaurant incorporates traditional and modern accents into the decor making it suitable both for old and young generations.

Famous for its Suki, Grandma’s Suki uses natural homemade ingredients with no preservatives and no addictives making it a better option for consumption, to make it more complete Grandma’s Suki also serves various Chinese dishes.

One of the things that AnakJajan love from Grandma’s Suki is the great selection of condiments, you can adjust your suki experience based on your tastebud with tons of condiments and sauce available such as, Suki sauce, Gomi sauce, peanut sauce, chili oil, blackpepper sauce, mushroom sauce, green chili sauce, fermented bean curd sauce, chili, garlic, fried garlic, corriander leaf, leek, sesame oil, etc.

For the broth, there are several options, Shark Bone, Grandma’s Secret Recipe, Tom Yum, Laksa, Tomato, Pepper, and Chicken soup. You can get mix of 2 soup in one pot, Anakjajan opted for their signature Shark Bone Soup and Grandma’s Secret Recipe Soup with rich of nutritious herbal benefits.

It was very comforting and heartwarming, gotta love the freshness from the ingredients especially the addictive bouncy homemade meat balls.

Fried Special Dumpling IDR 35k
Golden deep fried dumplings filled with minced prawn and chicken filling. It was crunchy on the outside while juicy on the inside.

Grandma’s Home Made Tofu IDR 58k
This messy looking dish tastes sooooo good!! Deep fried soft egg tofu topped with minced chicken and brown gravy. The gravy was amazing, savory yet comforting altogether, AnakJajan highly recommend it.

Ngohiong IDR 48k
Mixture of minced prawn, chicken, and veggies in crisp deep fried thin skin. It was very enjoyable with pleasant aroma from five spice.

Sweet & Sour Chicken IDR 58k
All time favorite classic dish, sweet and sour chicken with lychee.

Fried Shrimp Mayonnaise IDR 58k
Lightly battered shrimps deep fried until crunchy and then topped with mayonnaise sauce, it’s surely a well made mayonnaise shrimp dish.

Grandma’s Special Lomie IDR 58k
It’s a humble yet comforting noodle dish with various toppings such as mushroom, prawns, meatballs, etc cooked in rich thick gravy.

Special Pork Belly IDR 88k
Another favorite dish that you simply cannot miss. Pork belly deep fried into perfection till crispy on the outside while still tender on the inside, it’s nicely seasoned as well.

Overall, Grandma’s Suki certainly serves nice Chinese dishes and also Suki with great quality and amazing flavor, the kind of food that you cannot get bored with.
