As a fan of Sichuan cuisine, AnakJajan are happy to share with you a new restaurant for legit authentic Sichuan dishes. The restaurant originated from Guangzhou offers various Sichuan dishes such as Spicy Sour series, Spicy Fragrance series, Hotpot, Cold Dish, Nooodle, Dumplings, Fried Rice, etc.

Spicy Sour Fish IDR 198k + Black Fungus IDR 22k + Ouster Mushroom IDR 22k

To ensure the authenticity of their Sichuan dishes, most of the ingredients are imported directly from Sichuan, China. Located in Pantai Indah Kapuk area, it’s easy to spot the restaurant from bright red signage, the decor inside restaurant is pretty interesting with the combination of traditional and modern elements such as marbled tables, gorgeous tiles, Chinese ornaments, and interesting mural drawings resulting a cozy yet instagenic space.

Eight Treasure tea IDR 25k
Gotta love the Eight Treasure herb tea. It consists of many herbs such as, red dates, wolfberry, longan, walnut, sesame seed, raisin, and apple slices. It was very enjoyable and comforting for the body and soul with refined aroma and natural sweet taste.❤️

Lemon Tea IDR 25k
For refreshing option, their Lemon Tea is nice to try as well with the combination of tea, lemon and special limes from Pontianak, West Borneo. So refreshing!

Spicy Sour Fish IDR 198k + Black Fungus IDR 22k + Ouster Mushroom IDR 22k
This has gotta be one of their signature dishes, spicy and sour soup with preserved veggie available in fish, beef or frog version.
AnakJajan had the fish version and it was a great choice, the poached fish was very delicate and smooth without any unpleasant smell,

The soup tastes very clean and light thanks to the sour taste then the spiciness just adds the addictive sensation we couldn’t stop after the first spoonful. For extra pleasure, you can order additional side dishes to be cooked in the soup, as for AnakJajan, we had Black Fungus IDR 22k and Ouster Mushroom IDR 22k added in the soup. Both mushroom added a nice texture. Highly recommended!👍🏻

From the Spicy Fragrance series, the Spicy Hot dish is also a must try, it’s available in Crab, Prawn, Lobster, or Frog, you can also get combo just like ours Crab and Prawn Combo. Additional side dishes are available as well like vegetables, mushroom, meatballs, etc, we highly recommend you to add thinly sliced potato into the dish👌🏻

This dish was very rich in flavor and spices, the spiciness from Sichuan pepper corn will immediately kick you on the mouth (in a good way). AnakJajan really love how well-balance the seasoning was, it was savory, spicy, and bold in an enjoyable level, the spiciness will not burn you but instead it will give you that kind of mild numbing sensation on the tongue thanks to the use of Mala peppercorn.

Sichuan Spicy Chicken IDR 78k
Deep fried chicken chunks and cashew tossed in spicy Sichuan seasoning. It was sooo yummy, one of the best in town for us personally.

The chicken was nicely cooked, crispy on the outside while tender on the inside. Crunchy, savory and spicy, undeniably good!! Ahh the flavor still lingers in my mouth while writing this review, definitely a must order!

Overall, AnakJajan left Lu Wu Shuang with happy tummies, the taste was incredible, we look forward to visit again very soon. The portion is huge, AnakJajan suggest you to bring your troops so you can order and try more dishes. Even though all dishes we had were spicy but each dish has its own characteristic and taste, double thumbs up for Lu Wu Shuang!!
