Who loves Vietnamese food? Specializes in Vietnamese street food delight, you can find Pho Street Indonesia’s outlet in Mall Taman Anggrek, Emporium Pluit Mall, Lippo Mall Puri, and soon in Summarecon Mall Bekasi.

Our visit to Vietnam two years ago honestly left us a deep impression especially the local food. It turned out that Vietnamese food suits our palates nicely we often crave for it in Jakarta.

If you’re not familiar with Vietnamese food, two of the most popular local food there are Pho or a kind of beef noodle soup and Bahn Mi or Vietnamese sandwich. In case if you need a little more convincing, let’s make it easier, if you enjoy Thai food, we assure you that you’ll enjoy Vietnamese food as well.
For quick Vietnamese food cravings fixed, AnakJajan’ve visited Pho Street twice actually but only manage to write the review now. Here are some of the good stuff that are worth trying.
Vietnamese Snack Platter IDR 69k
Pho Street has many snacks options but if you’re greedy like us simply choose snack platter to try a bit of everything. The platter consists of crispy pork rolls, roasted chicken skewers, and prawn cakes served with sweet spicy sauce. The crispy pork rolls were surely the winner, uber crunchy savory meat but not greasy, yum!

Prawn Crackers with Salad of Crunchy Green Mango IDR 59k
Honestly we didn’t have any high expectation towards this dish but it turned out to be tasteful, 100% we will definitely order it again on next visit. The mango salad was very flavorful with harmonious taste between sweet, sour, and nutty, best enjoyed with prawn crackers for crunchy sensation.

Dry Rice Vermicelli with Pork Chop & Spring Roll IDR 69k
This is one of Mr. Jajan’s top favorite dished in Vietnam, he just loves the fresh sweet sour flavor combination on dry vermicelli noodle dish. The one in Pho Street was enjoyable but only a tad less sour that his expectation, so we decided to squeeze a bit of lime into it and voila, sweet, fresh and sour just the way we like. The pork chop itself was nicely made, tender and well marinated.

Fresh Summer Rolls IDR 39k
The fresh roll is made from rice paper wrapped with prawn, pork belly, fresh herbs, and vermicelli inside then served with peanut-based dipping sauce. The fresh and clean taste was enjoyable.
Pho Beef Combination IDR 79k
A hearty bowl of comforting beef noodle soup, full umami taste with hint of spices. The combination has various toppings: beef balls, beef slices, beef shank, beef tendon, and beef tripe. Don’t forget to squeeze lime juice in it for fresh zesty kick.

Tips: besides fresh chopped chili, they have special homemade chili sauce provided upon request, try adding it just a lil bit to your pho broth for amazing spicy sensation.

Bahn Mi Combination IDR 59k
The Bahn Mi was surprisingly very delicious beyond our expectations. It has all the good elements we expected, crunchy bread crust on the outside but still soft on the inside with crunchy fresh sensation from vegetables and pickles plus savory meaty sensation from pork belly, grilled beef, and chicken ham.

Sweet Corn Dessert with Coconut Cream IDR 29k
The warm dessert somehow reminds us of Indonesia’s “bubur ketan hitam” but corn version with coconut cream on top.

Lemon Cooler with Peppermint & Basil IDR 29k, Vietnamese Three Colour Dessert IDR 29k, Lime Juice with Sour Plum IDR 29k
Since we craved for refreshing drink, we opted for Lemon Cooler and Lime Juice with zesty sweet and sour flavor profile. For dessert, we got this colorful layers of dessert, best mixed well before slurping it.

Overall, all of the dishes in Pho Street were tasteful enough to satisfy our cravings for Vietnamese food, we just love the extensive variety of dishes. Oh by the way, all menu at Pho Street Mall Taman Anggrek, Emporium Pluit Mall, Lippo Mall Puri contains pork, but specially for upcoming Summarecon Mall Bekasi outlet called Pho Street Kitchen will have all NO pork and no lard menu.
