DO DEE PAIDANG JAKARTA – Puri Indah Mall

The famous Thai street food and noodle bar DO DEE PAIDANG from Sydney & Melbourne is finally here in Indonesia!! The first outlet in Jakarta is located in Puri Indah Mall.

This is such AN EXCITING NEWS for us or any ex-sydneysider since it’s one of our favorite places to eat whenever we visit Sydney.

We’ve been a fan of Do Dee Paidang’s fans since the first time we tried it last year and just can’t stop thinking about it since it was sooo good! That’s why this year when we had the chance to visit Sydney, we make sure to visit Do Dee Paidang at least twice since we love their spicy noodle soup that much!! Our friend love it so much, they can visit the restaurant thrice in a week😂

Ok back to the topic, Do Dee Paidang Indonesia’s first outlet is located inside Puri Indah Mall Ground Floor. Menu selection in Do Dee Paidang Indonesia is not as extensive as Sydney outlet but they surely brought their signature items to here such as Noodle Soup, Soft Boiled Rice, Pad Thai, Curry, Fried Rice, as well as some entree and dessert.

Moo Ping IDR 39.5k
One of our must order items in Do Dee is their Moo Ping or grilled marinated pork neck skewers served with sweet chili sauce. The pork is sooo tender and well marinated with balanced savory and sweet taste, grilled nicely with nice char-grilled aroma in it. Sooo good it’s a MUST HAVE!

Prawns Pattaya IDR 48k
The grilled marinated prawns in chili and basil sauce served with sweet chili sauce are also very tasty. Major love the juicy crunchy prawn texture.

Do Dee Monster (Level 1) IDR 48k
Noodle game is strong in Do Dee Paidang since it’s available in many options. For spicy noodle options, there are level 1 until 7, but of course there are non-spicy options too. Level 1 in Do Dee Monster is the perfect enjoyable level for AnakJajan personally.

The spicy soup is a kind of tomyum soup but not typical tomyum you get out there, it’s Do Dee’s one-of-a-kind tomyum style, savory, spicy, sweet, nutty and tangy with great depth of flavor and it gets addictive the more you slurp it.

For the noodle, there are 6 options of noodle to choose: Rice Noodle, Flat Rice Noodle, Glass Noodle, Bee Hoon, Egg Noodle, and Instant Noodle. Out of 6, rice noodle is our favorite by default.

Then for topping, Do Dee Monster consists of their signature toppings; pork balls, fish balls, pork ribs, crispy crackers, etc.

Do Dee Supernova (Level 7) IDR 48k
If you’re a spicy food addict, WE DARE YOU TO TRY IT!!
For level 7, the spicy taste is very dramatic, spicy but still in enjoyable level when you eat it, but but buttttt the spicy taste will kick you later. You will start to sweat afterwards😅

Soft Boiled Rice Grilled Salmon IDR 69.5k
Besides noodle soup, soft boiled rice is also one of their signature items. Basically it’s rice soup dish with different toppings available.
The soup base is similar with tomyum soup but in level 0 or non-spicy version. Warm and comforting with addictive tangy and subtle sweet taste, just perfect for cold rainy days.

Mango Sticky Rice IDR 38k
Presentation wise, the mango sticky rice looks very pretty with 3colored rice. It tastes pleasantly yummy with sweet mango, fluffy sticky rice, and smooth salty coconut milk sauce.

Fried Bread with Pandan Custard IDR 30k
One of their signature items in dessert section, deep fried dough fritter served with coconut-based pandan-flavored custard.

Well overall AnakJajan gotta say that the taste is legit good, very flavorful and reasonably priced as well. I guess now we have less reason to visit Sydney since our favorite restaurant is now open in Jakarta.
