POPOLAMAMA INDONESIA – JAKARTA [New Menu]

Serving Napoli style pizza, have you been to Popolamama restaurant in Jakarta? It has been a while since our last visit, aside from lots of new menu, Popolamama Indonesia is 100% HALAL with Halal Certification, it’s surely a good news for our Moslem friends.

One major thing that we love from Popolamama is their freshly made pasta everyday using good quality of wheat flour (100% durum semolina) that’s high in fiber. The Italian food like Pasta and Pizza are served with Japanese twist. On our recent visit, AnakJajan ordered a few of their classic favorite menu as well as new Ramadhan Special Menu.

Pasta Dory Sambal Matah IDR 68k, Pizza Dory Sambal Matah IDR 65k, & Nasi Ayam Sambal Matah IDR 59k (Ramadhan Special)
One word for their Sambal Matah menu, AMAZING!! So so sooo gewd, it was beyond my expectation. Their Balinese Sambal Matah itself has a nice balance of flavors, chopped finely and very aromatic.

Available in pasta, pizza and rice version, to our surprise, surprisingly it goes well with pasta and pizza, to be honest their Pizza Dory Sambal Matah was our number one favorite during the visit. The dory fish on pasta was very meaty and thick, then for the rice they served it with juicy chicken.

Pasta Ayam Bumbu Bali IDR 68k & Pizza Ayam Bumbu Bali IDR 65k (Ramadhan Special)
Bumbu Bali version is bold and rich in flavor with medium spiciness level, the kind of flavor that Indonesian will surely like. Since it’s Ramadhan Special menu, it’s available in limited time, so make sure to enjoy it while it lasts.

Classic Margarita IDR 44k/IDR 62k
Now move to their classic and favorite items. When it comes to pizza, Popolamama’s pizza dough is delightful and perfectly thin and soft. One of AnakJajan’s most favorite pizza at Popolamama is Italian classic Margarita with basil, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce. The combination between 3 ingredients created a simple yet undoubtedly delicious taste.

Three Japanese Mushroom IDR 52k/IDR 75k
This is an exciting Japanese twist of Italian pizza with shitake, eringi, bunashimeji mushroom, grana padano and white sauce. The mushroom were juicy and earthy, on the top they added fried garlic which played a major role for the Asian touch in enjoyable way.

Smoked Chicken Genoves IDR 54k/ IDR 79k
Smoked chicken, bunashimeji mushroom, genoves sauce and mixed cheese, can you imagine the taste of pizza when all these ingredients are combined? It’s indeed enjoyable with lovely smoky aroma from the smoked chicken.

Pan Fried Dory with Lime Leaves IDR 69k
Classic simple pasta dish, pan fried dory fish that’s crispy on the outside while moist inside topped with fried garlic and pasta. It’s garlicky, savory with touch of lime leaves for zesty sensation, tasteful without being overpowering.

Peperoncino Basil with Potato and Chicken Sausage IDR 73k
The green looking dish has a tasteful creamy green taste from the use of basil and cheese served with juicy chicken sausage.

Cream Sauce Style with Smoked Beef, Spinach and Rucola IDR 72k
From creamy pasta lovers, this one is a must order. It’s savory and creamy just in the right level.
