Opened first in Ciwalk Bandung, Raa Cha Suki & BBQ has instantly become favorite of many people with its unique concept and now the Thai Suki and Barbeque restaurant has opened total 24 outlets in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Surabaya, Bekasi, Bogor, and Cirebon.
Raa Cha Suki & BBQ serves Thai Suki and Barbeque dishes with unique ordering and cooking experience that is DIY or do-it-yourself Suki & BBQ.
On the table you can see a unique personal cooking equipments for suki and barbeque, then all of the ingredients are displayed on a huge display. So basically the ordering system is self service, first you get the tray and then take any ingredients that you like both for suki and BBQ, including dessert and drink, pay it at the cashier, and then cook it on your own on the table.
The ingredient display is very tempting with great range of options from vegetables, meatballs, mushroom, chicken, beef, tofu, wonton, etc. One fact that we love from this restaurant is the use of ORGANIC VEGETABLES, it’s certainly a plus point! The restaurant also has Halal certification so it can be enjoyed by everyone.
Most of the ingredients are sold per piece with affordable price starting from IDR 3,636, but they also offer set package for suki ingredients. Then for drink, there are Thai Ice Coffee, Ice Lemon Tea, Ice Thai Green Tea, Thai Ice Tea, and Mineral Water to choose, as for AnakJajan, we had their signature Thai Ice Tea IDR 17,273.
Dipping sauce is available for free on Sauce Counter, there are 5 options; Soy, Raa Cha, Chili, Garlic, and Garlic sauce. The Raa Cha sauce is a must have with distinctive nutty taste, it goes really well both with suki and BBQ.
While each ingredient has its own distinctive taste, there are several ingredients that AnakJajan have to get every time we visit Raa Cha; Fried Yong Tofu IDR 7,727/ pc, Enoki IDR 9,091, Seafood Tofu IDR 6,818, Mix Vegetable C IDR 12,273, and Beef Ball IDR 4,543/ pc, other than that we will randomly try other ingredients based on our moods.
For suki you can ask for Tom Yum or Chicken broth. The chicken broth is comforting but for us Tom Yum is our all time favorite, it’s savory and spicy with addictive sour taste.
If you love meat BBQ, there are 3 options of seasoning; Sweet, Spicy, and Spicy both for Beef IDR 22,727 or Chicken IDR 19,091.
Spicy Beef BBQ is our most favorite, the meat is well marinated, it tastes very flavorful and tender with nice charred aroma from the grilling process. I bet you must be drooling already while imagining the meat sizzling on hot personal grill.
Now let’s move to the dessert, soft ice cream time, YES they have launched THAI TEA & THAI GREEN TEA SOFT ICE CREAM!! Oooowwyeah!! There are 3 options; Thai Tea, Thai Tea Mix, and Thai Green Tea, each costs IDR 15,000 and it tastes delicious. Smooth, light with just the right amount of creaminess and sweetness, our favorite has gotta be the Thai Tea one. The new menu at this moment is available in Sarinah and Summarecon Mal Bekasi outlets, slowly by time other outlets are going to have it too.
Overall, great selection of ingredients, fun and unique cooking method, the food in Raa Cha Suki & BBQ is enjoyable and most importantly it’s delightfully affordable.
