New cozy restaurant and bar recommendation in Jakarta, Flynn Dine & Bar located in Menara Rajawali, Mega Kuningan.
Good company, nice conversation, delightful cocktail, tasty food in cozy chill ambiance, when was the last time had it all? Well for AnakJajan, we recently got the complete combo at Flynn Dine & Bar. We left the restaurant and bar with great mood and happy tummies, we simply couldn’t stop talking about our great experience.
The restaurant and bar has cozy yet elegant decor with dimmed light and well curated song playlist, it definitely helps to set the mood right.
With strong influence of Australian and Asian cuisine, Flynn offers casual contemporary dining experience. Here are some of their signature items:

Since we usually eat a lot, normally we prefer to get the calories intake from food rather than drink but I’m glad that we didn’t skip on trying Flynn’s cocktail creations because it turned out to be very nice. Sooo good, we decided to order another glass and ended up with 5 glasses of cocktails.
Tiki, do you love me? IDR 115k
Light rum, cacao white, srikaya jam
Each cocktail has its own unique characteristic and surprisingly the ingredients complement each other nicely into one harmonious drink. My personal favorite would be Thyme for Yuzu with intriguing aroma of thyme just in the right enjoyable level. While for Mr. Jajan, he likes Purple Rain that was more on the sweet fruity side but in a good way and also Gooseberry Bumps.

Bebek Betutu Tacos IDR 80k
Bebek betutu with rich aroma of spices with urap, and sambal matah wrapped in tacos. The duck was tender and flavorful with strong aroma of spices. The spicy taste helps to bring out the appetite, don’t forget to squeeze a bit of lime juice for extra zesty fresh kick.
Sous Vide Octopus IDR 95k
Baba ganoush, dried fig, olive & crispy bread
The octopus dish has all the good elements we expected, tender and well seasoned octopus with harmonious mix of textures and flavors from the ingredients, we just love the addition of dried fig in it.
Grain Salad IDR 65k
This dish totally reminds us of healthy yet delicious salad dishes we usually get in Australia with all the fresh zesty tangy flavors. It consists of various grains, pomegranate, ricotta, greens, and raspberry vinaigrette. Soooo good we definitely will order it again next time.
Crispy Pork Belly IDR 135k
Pear slaw, pomme puree & gooseberry with crispy pork belly. Prepared for 36 hours, pork belly was really tender and it didn’t have any unpleasant smell at all, the skin was definitely the star with incredible crispy texture. Meat was a bit too fatty but luckily we got gooseberry and pear slaw for sweet tangy fresh kick so we won’t get greasy or heavy aftertaste.
Moroccan Lamb Skewer IDR 155k
Lamb skewer with quinoa, raisins, pomegranate & harrissa. Mr. Jajan is never a big fan of lamb but surprisingly he enjoyed this dish, that means Flynn did a great job in cooking it. The lamb was soooo tender and juicy without any unpleasant lamb smell at all, paired beautifully with quinoa with fresh tangy seasoning.
Sesame Crusted Barramundi I Fumie IDR 100k
Inspired by classic Chinese crispy noodle dish called Ifumie, the chef created his own twist with black bean sauce and barramundi fish covered with black sesame. It was enjoyable and certainly a filling dish with crispy noodle and savory thick sauce.
Pumpkin Gnocchi IDR 95k
Mr. Jajan’s top favorite would be their Gnocchi with confit pumpkin, ricotta & candied walnut. The homemade gnocchi was nicely seared with until golden brown with nice buttery aroma, you’ll get savory taste from confit pumpkin, sweetness from candied walnut, mild creamy taste from ricotta.
Squid Ink Fish & Chips IDR 105k
Crispy Barramundi coated with squid ink batter and served with mint peas, fries and tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was good, not only creamy but also has a nice texture on it thanks to the use of chopped gherkins pickles.
Yoghurt Panna Cotta IDR 55k
Basically it’s yoghurt but in panna cotta texture with crunchy granola, grape & mint oil for texture and extra flavor. The panna cotta was uber jiggly and smooth in the mouth, major yum!
Bolu Tape IDR 55k
This one was easily our favorite dessert with ‘tape bolu’, coconut meringue, and coconnut sorbet. The homemade ‘tape bolu’ was toasted until golden brown on the outside resulting a pleasant grilled aroma, it was moist and soft with mild fermented cassava aroma from ‘tape’, soooo good!
Overall, our first visit to Flynn was memorable. We left the restaurant and bar completely with great mood and happy tummies, we simply couldn’t wait for next visit, perhaps for their breakfast menu next time.
