Hoshino Coffee is one of big coffee chains in Japan and they’re now open in Senayan City, Jakarta, Indonesia. It’s a great news for us, since we have more place to go whenever we miss Japan.

Located inside Senayan City Crystal Lagoon, Hoshino Coffee’s location is quite hidden. The store’s classic decor has similar vibes with Hoshino Coffee Japan with leather furniture and dark wooden ornaments, so cozy we can sit there for hours.

Besides coffee and non coffee drinks, Hoshino Coffee has plenty of food menu too like Omurice, Wafu Pasta, Rice, Pancake, etc. Here are our order.

Ice Royal Milk Tea IDR 45k // Iced Coffee IDR 45k

Mentaiko Carbonara IDR 115k
One of our top fav dishes for wafu/ Japanese-style pasta would be Mentaiko Carbonara and we’re glad to find this menu at Hoshino Coffee Indonesia. The spaghetti was served with onsen egg, nori flakes, mentaiko, and milky based sauce. The best way to enjoy this dish is by mixing all the ingredients well.

The onsen egg was a tad undercooked, nevertheless it was a delicious pasta dish with just the right level of creaminess and nice salty hint flavor from mentaiko.

Hoshino Spaghetti IDR 85k
Mr. Jajan was craving for non creamy based pasta, so I suggested Hoshino Spaghetti with shimeji, eggplant, bacon, sausage, and onsen egg. The soy based pasta was as delicious as we expected with lovely savory umami taste in it.

Cheesy Chicken Cutlet IDR 115k + Egg IDR 10k
This one was our friend’s order and it was just a decent dish. Proper but not memorable.

Double Matcha Pancake IDR95k
Hoshino’s thick pancake menu has been around for years, long before souffle pancake trend. Even though they call it souffle pancake, Hoshino’s pancake is not that kind of jiggly fluffy souffle pancake, it’s more like solid sponge cake, so you gotta adjust your expectation.

Me and Mr. Jajan have tried it twice both in Japan and Jakarta, honestly it was just decent for us since we prefer fluffy cloud like souffle pancake.

Vanilla Chocolate Souffle IDR 70k
Compared to the pancake, we prefer this one more. It was really good and yummy! Light airy fluffy cloud-like souffle served hot with rich thick chocolate sauce, so good!

Overall, our visit to Hoshino Coffee Indonesia simply brings back our good memories in Japan. The pasta and souffle were really good and we’ll be back for more whenever we miss Japan.
