Friday 14 March 2014, AnakJajan was invited to Secret Dining Event by Singapore Tourism Board. Culinary in Singapore is always exciting since long time ago. Besides hawker food, Singapore also has lots of amazing fine dining and on that night we had the chance to experience amazing dishes from Chef Ryan Clift and Chef Janice Wong with Cocktails & Mocktails by Mixologist Zachary Connor de Git.

Zachary Connor de Git is the mixologist that work with Chef Ryan Clift in Tippling Club to create the perfect drink to be paired with dishes by Chef Ryan Clift. Zachary Connor de Git also nominated as Bartender of the Year by Australian Bartender Magazine.

Baccaloa, Parsley Root, Garlic Soup & Sea Rosemary
This first dish was heavenly. I love the soup, white milky yet light soup with a lil hint of garlic.
Snow Crab, Celeriac, & Malt Vinegar
Foie Gras Torchon, Spiced Wine Fluid, Brioch, Cherrys & Plumb
Kagoshima Wagyu, Burrata, Fruit Tomato, Artichoke & Sea Grapes
The wagyu was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, soo tender and juicy. One thing that caught my attention was this little green and round stuff on top of it, apparently it was sea grape with a lil bit of funky texture reminding me of tobiko.
Art of Chocolate – Dessert Showcase with Chef Janice Wong
Janice Wong the person behind 2am: Dessert Bar in Singapore recently just won Asia’s Best Pastry Chef by San Pellegrino Asia Top 50. 2am: Dessert Bar is the perfect place to spend your night at Singapore with amazing dessert.
For this Secret Dining event, she prepared an awesome chocolate dessert table, and amazingly everything on top of the table are edible even the white hand written paper was made by chocolate.
This dessert showcase doesn’t just look amazing, but it also taste really amazing!! The guest are pampered with lots of unique texture and flavor.
One of the highlight of that night was this White Chocolate with round shape that is called Yuzu Explosions, when you eat it refreshing and sour juice will explode or burst out in your mouth and then you will get the sweet taste after with explosive lemony poprocks.
What we had in this secret dining event basically just a small part of exciting culinary with the best quality that is waiting to be explored in Singapore. AnakJajan cannot wait to plan another culinary trip to Singapore A.S.A.P!! 🙂
