Finally there’s a new hangout spot at Senopati area, Ms. Choo Brasserie and Bar.

It has been a while since the last time a new restaurant or cafe opened in Senopati area. AnakJajan clearly remember there was a time where new restaurants continuously popping out in Senopati area but lately the phenomenon has slowed down since the beginning of this year.

Ms. Choo is not a new restaurant as a whole, is it actually the new transformation from the previous restaurant Publico with totally new and different concept and menu.

The building is consist of 3 floors with private room on the first floor, smoking area on the second floor and non smoking area on the third floor. Talking about the interior, Ms. Choo is combining eastern and western concept where you can still see some resemblance of western interior from previous restaurant.

Embracing the Asian concept, Ms. Choo also serves Asian cocktails, AnakJajan must say that their cocktails were different and very unique we enjoyed almost all of it, price wise was also pretty affordable for cocktails. Our personal favorite would be the nutritious White Empress that tasted very light, sweet, flowery yet fruity.

While for the mocktails, the mixture was also very interesting and refreshing AnakJajan enjoyed Soymilk Pandan Grass Jelly (genius mix of soymilk with aromatic yet sweet palm sugar) and Sparkling Sour Plum (sweet and tangy with a hint of saltiness) the most.

Ms. Choo serves plentiful starters that could be the perfect snacks to pair with cocktails. If you are looking for something crunchy yet savory, you should try their addicting deep fried small prawns of if you are a meat person then Charcoal oven barbecue pork “Mu Yang” is a must. Nicely marinated tender pork bbq with a beautiful charred aroma and served with amazing tangy sweet savory nam jum jaew dipping sauce, so soo good!

This dish was freaking majestic!! Large cut of pork neck was deep fried to perfection, the meat was executed really well because the texture was sooo tender yet juicy and taste even better with the amazing tangy sweet savory nam jum jaew dipping sauce. Considering the huge portion, AnakJajan suggest you to share this menu with 2 or 3 of your friends.

Love love loveeee this dish very much. The chef definitely know how to cook pork perfectly because the pork belly was tender, crispy but not greasy at all.

This is not a common combination of curry, in fact this was our first time having soft shell crab with curry but it turned out to be great. The deep fried soft shell crab was absorbing the rich smooth and flavorful yellow curry nicely.

This dish was kinda reminds me of Indonesian fish ‘pepes’, grilled seabass seasoned with red curry wrapped in banana leave. The fish was tender, very soft and fragrant thanks to the grilling process using banana leave.

As amazing as any fancy dishes out there, nicely cooked fried rice noodle or kwetiaw always has a special place in my tummy. This dish was delicious, it was nicely seasoned and fried. We just love the nice charred aroma in it.

As for dessert, their Fried Hazelnut Nutella sesame balls was literally DA BOMB!! These deep fried sesame ball filled with abundant nutella were just tooooo good to be true! The hot melty hazelnut nutella will immediately burst once you bite the chewy sesame balls.

Overall Publico definitely made the right decision by changing the restaurant into Ms. Choo with a whole different new concept. The food and beverages were delicious with distinctive flavor and certainly different from neighbors in Senopati area. Let’s Jajan!!
