It’s time to continue my travel stories of Queensland Australia. This time I’m gonna share with you interesting places to stay, shop, eat and have fun in Brisbane.
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland Australia. It is a big modern and chic city with lot’s of interesting architecture and art installation. I immediately fell in love with this city the minute we reached the town.
Fyi, Brisbane is located around 1 hour drive from Gold Coast and it is very common for the citizen to commuter between Brisbane to Gold Coast on a daily basis.
NEXT HOTEL BRISBANE + QUEEN STREET MALL
We stayed at this moderm futuristic hotel called NEXT Hotel. The room was simple, clean and modern with super awesome remote control using mobile phone they provide for each room. I can simply control the lighting, air conditioning, TV, calling to the front desk, etc in one touch.
But the most awesome thing would be the location, it is located right in the Queen Street Mall that is filled with lot’s of shopping places and dining choices. One of the busiest pedestrian malls with outdoor setting.

TANGALOOMA ISLAND RESORT
Tangalooma Island Resort located in Moreton Island is around 75 minutes cruise ride across Moreton Bay from Brisbane. It is the island resort where the Running Man team did one of their Australia episodes featuring Rain.
I was extremely excited and immediately entered nostalgic mode reminiscing every scenes from Running Man episode.

In the resort, visitors could do so many activities such as Quad Biking riding, dolphin feeding, sand surfing, etc. We had scheduled to have a sand surfing activity but it was raining that day, so they change the activity into whale watching. I was very lucky to be able to visit Queensland during the whale migration period and being able to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
It was surreal to be able to see sooo many whales in the ocean very close.
Besides whale watching, I also had amazing fun time riding the badass Quad Biking and had a chance to feed the super cute wild dolphins in the evening.
