IHOP is a famous US-based multinational restaurant chain specialised in all-day breakfast menu. The word IHOP stands for International House of Pancake if I’m not mistaken that’s why pancake is their number one signature menu.
In Dubai, you can find almost any popular brands from US including IHOP. AnakJajan visited their outlet in Mall of The Emirates. My first impression when I entered the restaurant is it has a very ordinary interior. If I have to be honest it’s too ordinary it kinda feels like food court. The color they chose for interior is also very dull, I was hoping that it comes with bright and fun interior since it’s an all-day-breakfast restaurant.
About their menu, IHOP definitely is not joking about their all-day-breakfast menu as they serve wide range of menu such as omelette, egg, hash brown, pancake, waffle, french toast, sweet/ savory crepe, appetizer, soup, burger, sandwich, chicken, fish, pasta, steak, salad, cake, ice cream and even sundae.
1 AED (Arab Emirates Dirham) = around IDR 3.9k // 10 AED = USD 2.72 (September 2015)
Big Steak Omelette AED 46
Gigantic omelette dish served with steak, hash brown, green peppers, onion, mushroom, toamtoes, cheddar cheese and salsa sauce. Omelette was nicely cooked till soft fluff with extremely huge portion complete with toast and it was seasoned nicely I enjoyed it very much. The presentation also very appetising and colorful.

Eggs Benedict AED 49
English muffins with turkey ham, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and hash brown. The hash brown was too crumbling, muffin was too chewy also and sauce was also not rich nor creamy eggy enough. It needs improvement in terms of taste and presentation.

Original Pancake AED 34 (stack of 3)
Definitely a must order menu, simple yet delicious buttermilk pancake with soft fluffy pillowy texture. Love the way they provide four types of sauce condiment on the table. You can choose the pancake serving portion with stack of 3 pancakes or 5 pancakes.

Cinn-A-Stack AED 39
Pancake version of cinnamon roll, the pancakes itself were similar with original one above very soft and fluffy served with aromatic cinnamon sauce between pancakes. It was lovely and not overly sweet I enjoyed it so much.

Chicken & Waffles AED 45
My number one favorite menu! Savoury, juicy and crunchy deep fried breaded chicken served with waffles. The Belgian waffles were definitely one of the best I’ve ever had, crunchy on the outside while soft and very light inside just like cloud.

Strawberry Banana French Toast AED 39
I think this one was my least favourite menu. The toast was not eggy nor creamy enough with chewy texture. Definitely need more improvement for the taste but it looks appetising though.

Strawberry Banana Danish Crepes AED 43
The crepes were surprisingly very enjoyable, the texture was soft and delicate but not mushy at all. As for the flavour it has a balance sweetness level but I would call it strawberry crepes instead of strawberry banana because the strawberry was overpowering the banana.

Blueberry Fruit Crepe AED 28
Single portion of crepe served with vanilla ice cream. I love the blueberry version more than strawberry banana danish one, and it tasted even better with a scoop of silky smooth vanilla ice cream.

Chicken Florentine AED 48
Besides sweet crepe, IHOP also offers savoury version of crepe. I had the chicken florentine and it was good, nicely seasoned and tender sauteed chicken with spinach and melted cheese, lovely combination.

Philly Cheese Steak AED 44
It was decent but meat need more seasoning as it tasted bland. On the other side the fries were so so good, nicely seasoned and well fried as well.

Carrot Cake AED 28
The cake was a bit messy but it tasted delicious. I love the moist texture and rich flavour but unfortunately it was way too sweet for my liking. But overall it was a good carrot cake.

Chocolate Cake AED 28
Cake was too dense and too rich. I would love it more if the chocolate coating on the outside has a melty texture.

In terms of taste, overall the food was delicious. While for the price compared to the quality of food and also the portion it is actually worthy but I personally think we Indonesian wouldn’t want to spend that much for gigantic portion.
Overall, I personally would loveeeee to have IHOP to open in Indonesia but portion and price definitely need an adjustment.
