SINSA RAMYUN – JAKARTA

sinsa

Following the Korean wave, Korean food is gaining in popularity in recent years in Jakarta. Most Korean restaurants in Jakarta used to specialized only in Korean BBQ even though Korea has so many interesting types of food to offer but gladly now you can find Korean restaurants specialized in other type of dish such as Jjangmyun, Jjigae, Dakgalbi or even Ramyun just like Sinsa Ramyun. Following the success of Jjigae House, the owner decided to open another restaurant in Muara Karang and Kemang specialized in Korean noodle or ramyun.

The first outlet of Sinsa Ramyun at Muara Karang has opened since 17th October 2015 while the second outlet at Kemang has just opened since the end of October 2015. Both outlets are just the same but Muara Karang outlet serves Pork menu while Kemang outlet serves no pork no lard menu and since Kemang outlet is more spacious, you can chill while enjoying live music along with beer.

Available both in Dry and Soup version, the noodle has a nice elastic springy texture not to mention the perfectly cooked shoyu egg with melting yolk. Galbi version is more savoury and peppery while Kimchi version is suitable for spicy food lovers.

Dry Kimchi Korean Ramyun complete with with well marinated Spicy Pork Belly (pork menu only available in Muara Karang), Egg and Kimchi is our personal favorite combo. It’s spicy, hot and flavorful with a lil bit of acidity from the use of kimchi and very enjoyable.

Overall, ramyuns from Sinsa Ramyun were tasty and satisfying, also one more thing even though it’s flavorful surprisingly it contains no MSG. It could be a nice and new choice for Korean food in Jakarta. Let’s Jajan!
