The end of 2015 is coming very soon, in this post AnakJajan gonna share a special and new fine dining restaurant, Vue46 by Les Amis Group at The Plaza 46th floor.
Unlike neighboring countries, the growth of fine-dining scene in Indonesia has been relatively slow. If you guys are looking for a special venue for fine dining, Vue46 could be a fresh and new option. It’s an upscale French dining restaurant by Les Amis Group.
AnakJajan visited Vue46 during lunch time, it’s located at The Plaza 46th floor, you can access The Plaza through Plaza Indonesia as well since both buildings are connected to each other.
Since Vue46 is a fine dining restaurant, they serves set menus both for lunch and dinner:
Le Menu Express IDR 450,000++/ pax (3 courses + coffee/tea and mignardises, lunch only)
Le Menu Formule a la Carte IDR 800.000++/ pax (choice of cold appetizer + hot appetizer + main couse + 1 dessert + coffee/tea and mignardises, lunch only)
Le Menu Classic IDR 1,280,000++/ pax (6 courses + coffee/tea and mignardises, for lunch or dinner)
Le Menu Signature IDR 1,680,000++/ pax (8 courses + coffee/tea and mignardises, for lunch or dinner)
AnakJajan had Le Menu Classic set that is available both for lunch and dinner. The meal was started with a basket of warm freshly baked breads with homemade butter with three different flavors, the spicy one was my personal favorite.
First meal was started with delightful sweet chilled corn soup with crouton and exceptional roasted baby corn that was sweet with nice charred aroma.
Cold Angel Hair with Kristal Caviar and Black Truffle
You can never visit Vue46 without trying this signature dish. Cold Angel Hair with tantalizing black truffle and slightly salty yet rich Kristal Caviar eggs that pop in the mouth. The acidity from this dish was excellent, it managed to trigger my appetite successfully. It was so so soooo good you will keep wanting for more after first forkful.
Organic Tomato in “Club Sandwich”
Mille-fuille of tomato and spanner crab with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and xeres vinegar
I personally never been a fan of tomato but this one was exceptional, it consists of layers of tomato with crab meat and avocado. This dish was very fresh and sweet with just the right amount of seasoning I enjoyed it a lot surprisingly 🙂
Love the simplicity of this dish to highlight the quality of Hokkaido scallop they are using. The lightly seared teppanyaki scallop was extremely tasteful and juicy and it tasted even better when paired with savory slightly sweet teriyaki sauce.
Pan Roasted Sea Bass
Pan roasted sea bass was extremely juicy and buttery, it was served with Kristal kaviar and “americaine” sauce, a savory classic seafood based French that compliments the fish perfectly.
The dessert was mind blowing! There are so many interesting elements and textures in this dessert. It consists of whole candied clementine stuffed with earl grey jelly, panna cotta and sorbet. It tasted creamy, tangy, citrusy and light, a perfect ending I must say!
Overall, dining experience at Vue46 was definitely unforgettable, each dish was nicely executed especially the Cold Angel Hair and Clementine that were phenomenal! not to forget the amazing view of Jakarta’s skyscrapers from 46th floor. AnakJajan must say that that Vue46 is one of the best in Jakarta.
