Talking about seafood, here in Indonesia we have lots of amazing seafood dishes with flavorful and addicting seasoning. From grilled, soup, fried till steamed seafood, we just cannot resist the appetizing flavors. If you need a recommendation for a great place for seafood, AnakJajan must say that Dermaga Makassar Seafood at The Breeze BSD is one of the most recommended places.

Dermaga Makassar is specialized in various fresh and live seafood dishes in Makassar style, basically you can simply choose the type of seafood and how you want it to be cooked, they have wide variety of seasoning for the seafood.
The restaurant is located in The Breeze BSD area, consists of two floors the restaurant building is very spacious, on the first floor you can see the display of live and fresh seafood, you can even choose your own seafood, on the second floor they have vip rooms for private event. The outdoor area is just lovely, it is surrounded by lush green plants resulting a very calming and serene ambiance.
Jus Buah Naga + Sirsak IDR 25k
The combination between soursop juice and pitaya/ dragon fruit juice turned out to be quite nice, refreshing yet not overly sweet.
Jus Kedondong IDR 25k
This was Mr. Jajan’s favorite, refreshing sweet and sour kedondong or ambarella juice.
Dabu-dabu, Terasi, Petis, Mango, Mango Pickle (Acar Mangga) and Peanut
In Makassar seafood restaurant, it is very typical to find various sauce condiments for the dishes. Here in Dermaga Makassar, they serve 6 types of sauce condiments, basically you can just mix some or all of it based on your own preference.
Sup Dermaga – Bandeng Cabut Duri IDR 19k/ ounce
This is one of the signature seafood dishes from Makassar, Palumara soup, a turmeric based soup with fish. For the fish, we had ‘Bandeng Cabut Duri’ or boneless bandeng/milkfish, the soup tasted very refreshing with tangy savory flavor. It was a very appetizing dish, the fish itself was very tender, smooth and flavorful. Love it!
Buncis Orak Arik IDR 35k
It looks simple but it tastes da bomb! Finely chopped string beans sauteed with scrambled egg, the seasoning was spot on, and it has this kind of addictive wok-fry aroma.

Kangkung Hotplate IDR 45k
The water spinach was cooked in bold savory seasoning with tomato, onion, chili quail eggs, shrimp and served on hot sizzling pan.

Ikan Sukkang Bakar Rica Merah IDR 21k/ ounce
Sukkang or Leather Jacket fish is another popular fish in Makassar seafood restaurant and the most popular and recommended seasoning would be spicy red ‘rica’ chili seasoning. The meat was very meaty with dense yet smooth texture, we enjoyed the spicy ‘rica’ seasoning very much.

Cumi Bakar IDR 18k/ ounce
Another favorite dish, we just love how well seasoned the grilled calamari was in Dermaga Makassar. Calamari was grilled nicely it was tender and not rubbery, while the seasoning was packed of spices and flavors.

Udang Putih Goreng Saus Padang IDR 75k/ ounce
Shrimp cooked with thick savory, sweet, spicy sauce. This dish was very enjoyable, the sauce was well balanced and shrimp was fresh and sweet.


Kerang Tim Bawang Putih IDR 45k/ ounce
Steamed clams with comforting garlic and ginger seasoning.

Ikan Bawal Bintang Goreng Dabu-Dabu IDR 34k/ ounce
Dabu-dabu is a type of hot and spicy condiment with various ingredients such as chopped green tomatoes, bird’s eye chili, shallots, red chili peppers, etc resulting a spicy yet refreshing taste. For dabu-dabu, we opted for deep fried pomfret fish.
Pepes Bandeng Cabut Duri IDR 19k/ ounce
‘Bandeng Cabut Duri’ or boneless bandeng/milkfish seasoned with various ingredients and wrapped in banana leaves. Fish was very tender and seasoning was fully absorbed into the fish, we can taste a bit of spiciness from the use of chili and a bit of tanginess from the use of green tomatoes, the use of banana leaves added a nice appetizing aroma to the fish.

Kepiting Saos Lada Hitam
The crab was definitely fresh and very meaty, it was packed with flavor, very juicy, tender, smooth and sweet altogether. The black pepper seasoning was also superb, very rich, bold and hot at the same time.
Ikan Kudu Kudu Goreng Telur Asin IDR 22k/ ounce
Kudu-Kudu fish is one of the signature fish that you can find normally in Makassar seafood restaurant, it is one of our favorite fish to order, usually we have it deep fried. In Dermaga Makassar, you can have the Kudu-Kudu fish grilled, deep fried or deep fried with salted egg sauce, we ordered the salted egg version. This dish was demolished in no time because it was so sooooo good! Fresh Kudu-Kudu fish fillet deep fried until golden crispy and then coated with addicting rich savory golden salted egg sauce, definitely a must try!
Coconut Pudding
After spicy hot and flavorful seafood dishes, Coconut Pudding is the best ending. The pudding has a silky smooth jiggly texture with refreshing sweetness from coconut juice, love it!
Overall, seafood was very fresh, seasoning was spot on with lots of variety, we had a very satisfying seafood meal there. AnakJajan honestly think that Dermaga Makassar is definitely one of the best places in Jabodetabek for fresh and live seafood. Let’s Jajan!!
