AMKC Atelier is one of the newest additions in Plaza Indonesia, it is a gourmet eatery by the genius couple chef Andhika Maxi and pastry chef Karen Carlotta.
AnakJajan recently visited AMKC Atelier for dinner, it is located at level 1 Plaza Indonesia, right across Socieaty. It was quite packed during our visit we had to wait for a while, we suggest you to make a reservation first if you are planning to visit this place on weekend.
Truffle Choux IDR 70k
Love the combination between buttery choux and savory aromatic mushroom filling with subtle truffle aroma. It was a very palatable savory choux styled nicely to resemble the shape of egg nest with eggs.
Sea Urchin – Pork Crackling – Truffled Angel Hair IDR 195k
Angel hair pasta served with sea urchin and pork crackling crumble. The sea urchin added a nice sweet sea flavor to the pasta, pasta itself has a nice and subtle aroma of truffle and the addition of pork crackling was simply genius!
Hokkaido Scallop with Lemon XO Vinaigrette IDR 250k
Hokkaido scallop topped with some kind of dried shrimp with xo seasoning and served with mashed potato and vegetables. The scallop was very delicious, sweet, bouncy and juicy.
Fresh Shrimp Spaghetti with Lobster Oil IDR 125k
It was a decent spaghetti dish, they added lots of shrimps and it was fresh and sweet, the pasta was a lil bit over cooked I was hoping that it could be more al dente.
Black Angus Fried Rice with Chili Jam IDR 135k
Fried rice was pretty nice, tender beef, savory aromatic rice with rich bold chili jam that was very flavorful.
Pisang Ijo Cake IDR 55k
Most of the cakes at AMKC are inspired by Indonesian food for example you can find ‘Martabak’ cake, ‘Es Teler’ cake, ‘Pisang Ijo’ cake, etc. We were curious with the ‘es teler’ cake but sadly it was sold out during our visit on Sunday night, lucky us Pisang Ijo Cake was still available, the cake was very lovely, light fluffy sponge cake with slices of banana and light butter cream that has this kind of sweet red syrup taste and aroma that you can usually find in Makassar style ‘Pisang Ijo’ ice dessert.
Overall the food was quite nice but honestly not memorable, the cake was amazing though. Will I come back for the food? Hmm I’m not sure. Will I come back for the cake? 100% yes!! Let’s Jajan!!
