Long summer holiday is finally here. If Sahabat Jajan are planning to visit Thailand, we have an interesting travel destination recommendation for you all, Palio Khao Yai the Italy of Thailand, a picturesque shopping centre with beautiful Tuscany, Italy village concept.

Khao Yai is one of the popular weekend getaway destinations in Thailand, it is blessed with lush green scenery, mountainous landscape, waterfalls, etc. In Khao Yai area, there are lots of interesting tourist destination and one of it is Palio Khao Yai.

Palio Khao Yai is a unique lifestyle shopping centre filled with more than 120 restaurants, souvenir shops, wine shop, cafes, jewelry shop, attractions, etc built in a beautiful Tuscany, Italy village concept complete with the fountain and clock tower.

The next day after our visit to Santorini Park, AnakJajan went to visit another gorgeous place, which is Palio Village at Khao Yai, around 220km north-east of Bangkok (2-3 hours of driving). Similar with Santorini Park trip, we rented mini van for THB 3.000 round-trip on 2014 (highway fee included).

The outdoor shopping centre is surrounded by beautiful mountainous landscape and magnificent garden with warm toned buildings making this place a super instagenic destination. When you look around, you can see hanging baskets, flowery railings, medieval-styled castle walls, gorgeous garden with water fountain in it, it is such a beautiful place we couldn’t stop taking picture in every corner especially when we went there with our sister ‘tongsis’ (‘tolong sis’), she did a great job in taking our pictures 🙂

After strolling around and took some pictures, AnakJajan were tired and decided to rest for awhile. There are a lot of benches everywhere, so we can enjoy the gorgeous view while relaxing. There are some stalls selling foods and beverages. Because it was a super duper hot day, AnakJajan bought ice cream with thai tea flavor, and also french fries from “Fries Me to The Moon”, yumm!!

Besides strolled around and enjoyed the views, AnakJajan went to try their 4D ride, we did not remember how much exactly the ticket price, but it was fun!

Considering it is a long trip from Bangkok, it would be fun and more recommended to explore more places in Khao Yai for weekend getaway. AnakJajan are going to share some recommended places to you.

Other than Palio Khao Yai Village, in Khao Yai there are lots of resorts and tourist destinations that you can visit. Panorama Farm, a resort facilities with colorful mushroom design that processed mushroom products and souvenirs from their mushroom farm. Farm Chokchai, a dairy farm that has been recognized as the largest in Asia, which also providing a restaurant where you can create/ enjoy delicious steak feast. Last but not least, Thailand’s first national park, A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the famous Khaoyai National Park.

Overall, AnakJajan had a very fun yet memorable time in Palio Village, Khao Yai. Being here made us feel like we were not in Thailand. It offers a picturesque charm of Tuscany, Italy village in the heart of Thailand, South East Asia, it is definitely a more affordable option compared to flying to Italy. Let’s Travel!!
