Coca Restaurant is one of the well established restaurants in Indonesia with 25 years of experience since 1992, it is a Thai food restaurant that is famous for their Thai-Style Steamboat or Suki.

Coca Restaurant has several outlets spread across the town and the Kemang outlet is located conveniently in Lippo Mall Kemang. Well known for their suki or Thai style steamboat, Coca is actually a Thai food restaurant where other than the steamboat menu, you can also find wide variety of Thai dishes such as Somtam or Thai Papaya Salad, Tomyum Soup, Pad Thai or Thai Fried Kwetiaw, Pandan Leaf Chicken, etc. For Moslem friends, Coca Restaurant Indonesia has a Halal Certification from MUI.

Pandan Chicken (Ayam Pandan) IDR 57k
Been craving for pandan chicken since long time ago and finally had my craving satisfied!! It is an authentic Thai deep fried chicken wrapped in pandan leaves. The chicken was soooo tender, juicy, flavorful and aromatic, AnakJajan highly recommend you to order it!

Deep Fried Shrimp in Bean Curd Skin (Udang Bungkus Tahu) IDR 76k
Major love this dish, shrimps wrapped in minced prawn meat and bean curd skin then deep fried until golden. It was crunchy on the outside while juicy on the inside, so good!

Crispy Fish Salad (Salad Ikan Gurih) IDR 42k
Sweet, sour and refreshing young papaya salad or somtam served with homemade crispy fish crackers, it was a great combination, the fish crackers gave the salad a nice crunch texture.

Pad Thai IDR 79k
Here in Coca you can also find the popular pad thai dish, the fried rice noodle or kwetiaw here is completed with seafood. Add a bit of lime juice for extra fresh kick.

Kapok Pau (M) IDR 110k
Another unique menu in Coca, stir fried fish maw with egg and bean sprout. The fish maw was super soft, the texture of fish maw reminded me with the texture of shitake mushroom. It was a comfort dish with nice wok-fry aroma.

Blackpepper Squid (Cumi Goreng Lada Hitam) IDR 82k
Stir fried squids with garlic pepper, the squid was nicely cooked with soft texture, seasoning was also very addictive with garlicky peppery flavors.

Tomyum Fried Glass Noodle (Soun Goreng Tom Yum) IDR 55k
Fried glass noodle with tomyum seasoning, this dish was really flavorful and packed with tomyum flavors with fresh prawns and squid.

Vegetables Set (Set Sayuran) IDR 195k
Ingredients for suki is available in a la carte portion but you can also get the set menu with a bit of everything perfect for family meal, just like this Vegetables Set consists of various greens complete with egg, spring onion and three types of mushrooms.

For the soup base, Coca provides 3 options, Basic soup for free, Herbal Soup IDR 82k and Tomyum Soup IDR 57k. Since we can get two types of soup in one pot, AnakJajan opted for basic soup and tomyum soup.

Set Neptune/ Mix Suki Platter IDR 295k
Coca is famous for their fresh homemade meatballs, there are wide variety of ingredients for suki available in a la carte or set menu. This mix suki platter consists of a super complete combination between prawn, chicken, beef, rolled fish, dumpling, chicken ball, fish ball, meat ball, etc.

AnakJajan personally love this platter because we can taste a bit of everything, the homemade meatballs were simply delicious with juicy and bouncy texture.

AnakJajan must admit that suki or steamboat in Coca Restaurant is definitely one of THE BEST in town!! The tomyum soup was AMAZING, very aromatic, rich, bold, spicy and tangy altogether with a very well-balanced seasoning, it is seriously one of the best tomyum AnakJajan’ve ever had in Jakarta! No wonder that Coca won award in Asia for their tomyum soup.

Thai Cassava with Coconut Milk (Singkong Ala Thai) IDR 31k
A must order dessert in Thai restaurant, sweet cassava served with coconut milk, the cassava was really soft, smooth and not overly sweet.

Water Chestnut with Coconut Milk (Es Merah Delima) IDR 27k
This refreshing iced coconut milk with crunchy water chestnut dessert was such a sweet and great dish to end our meal in Coca Restaurant.

Overall, Coca Restaurant serves amazing suki, the Thai dishes were also exceptionally delicious with great variety of choices, the tasty flavor still lingers in my mouth while writing this post. Coca Restaurant is doing a great job in maintaining the quality of their food for 25years, double thumbs up! Let’s Jajan!!
