Bakso or meatball game strong! Spotted a unique Bakso dish at Rumah Makan Doyan Makan in Pasar 8 Alam Sutera, unlike any regular Bakso dish out there, now you can also enjoy the mealballs inside young coconut shell or they call it Bakso Sapi Kelapa Muda.
Located in Pasar 8 Alam Sutera just near the motorcycle parking area, you can easily spot the small eatery from the signage. These are some facts about the food here that they claimed, the meatballs or bakso are made without any additive and no preservatives, it’s Halal and for the broth they use real beef broth with real coconut water without MSG, gotta give RM. Doyan Makan two thumbs up for that.
Bakso Sapi Kelapa Muda IDR 38k
Each portion consists of 4 pieces of lean meatballs and 4 pieces of meatballs with tendon, green veggie and choice of noodle, bihun or vermicelli/ kwetiau or flat rice noodle/ egg noodle/ udon or plain without noodle. Other than serving in coconut, the meatball dish is also available in bowl FYI.
The bakso was quite yummy with bouncy texture while the soup was more on the sweet side, in fact it was a bit too sweet for my liking, probably due to the use of coconut water with salt and sugar for the natural seasoning since they don’t use MSG. Luckily they provide lime, salt and chili sauce on the table, it tasted more enjoyable after I added those three condiments.
Don’t forget to scrape the coconut flesh and enjoy it together with the soup and meatballs.
Overall, unique serving presentation plus with no MSG and no additives, it was quite enjoyable and yummy. Let’s Jajan!!
