With all the yummy food, food hunting in Bandung is always exciting! Going to Bandung, you might be wondering what and where to eat?? Well AnakJajan got a classic recommendation, everyone’s favorite Mie Rica Kejaksaan in Kejaksaan Street no.7 and Paskal Hyper Square, Bandung.
Recently, me and Mr. Jajan had a quick escape to Bandung and the only thing in our minds was FOOD!! We cannot stop thinking about what to eat in Bandung, besides all the new and hip places, the humble local food has its own charm that we cannot resist so we decided to start our day by having lunch at Mie Rica Kejaksaan.
The humble eatery has two outlets in Bandung at Kejaksaan street and Paskal Hyper Square, AnakJajan visited the original outlet in Kejaksaan street, it opens everyday from early morning 08.00 to 14.00 then in the afternoon from 16.30 to 20.00.
As the name suggests, the eatery serves only noodle dishes along with a few side dishes, as for the noodle there are 5 main categories, Ca Ciang, Casao Spicy, Deep Fried Shrimp Spicy, Spicy Pork Rica, and Chicken noodle with choices of additional items such as meat ball, wonton, etc.
FYI, the noodle can be replaced with Bihun or vermicelli, also you can request the seasoning whether you want it to be savory or sweet.
Bakso Udang Goreng (Shrimp Fritters) IDR 48k
The deep fried shrimp fritters were extremely delicious, crunchy on the outside while soft tender on the inside, perfectly seasoned with generous chunks of shrimps, don’t forget to add the chili sauce for extra flavor kick. Seriously MUST ORDER!
Mie Pedas Casao (Spicy Pork Charsiew Noodle) IDR 32k
For this one, AnakJajan opted for sweet seasoning, the noodle came with generous amount of pork chaesiew and pork rinds. The seasoning was nice with just the right level of sweetness, AnakJajan enjoyed the springy texture from the noodle.
Mie Rica Babi Pedas (Spicy Pork Rica Noodle) + Beef Balls & Wonton IDR 36k
At a glance, the signature dish looks like noodle with bolognese topping, it’s actually pork rica or minced pork cooked in spicy chili sauce. The noodle is available both in sweet or savory seasoning, AnakJajan opted for savory seasoning with additional beef balls and wonton soup.
The noodle was delicious but seriously SOOO SPICY, its fieriness kicked in every bite with addictive aroma of chili.

Well, it can be satisfying for spicy food lovers but also can be distracting for those with low tolerance to spicy food like me. Me and Mr. Jajan were sweating and I even shed a tear when eating it. Luckily there was a Durian Ice Cream stall in front of the eatery to save us.
