GENESIS BISTRO & SPORTS BAR – Kelapa Gading

Sharing a hangout idea at Kelapa Gading area, Genesis Bistro and Sports Bar, a casual place to hangout with friends where you can enjoy western and Asian menu while having fun activities like playing billiard and darts game.

Genesis Bistro and Sports Bar is located at the same building with Rainbow Kitchen where the bistro is located on the 2nd floor and sports bar on 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor, there are several pool table along with dart game machines for customer to play, it’s decorated with futuristic concept with the play of colorful lights.

Talking about the food, you can find wide variety of cuisine from western to Asian in Genesis, it’s perfect to satisfy customers with different tastebuds. Let’s take a closer look at some of the signature dishes.

Gyu Tan Don IDR 75k
This menu has a comforting taste with warm steamed rice, thick tender marinated beef tongue in Asian spicy, scrambled egg and Balinese sambal matah. It was a unique combination in a good way, the beef tongue was tender and full of flavor and the addition of sambal matah simply gave the rice bowl a delightful aroma and spicy kick.

Genesis Pork Chop IDR 150k
Best enjoyed hot, meaty pork chop dish served with tasty honey mustard sauce, mashed potato, assorted veggie or coleslaw.

Grandma’s Egg Benedict IDR 68k
Classic breakfast dish with English muffin topped with poached egg, bacon, hollandaise sauce and salad. It tasted decent with generous amount of sauce.

Pork Belly Stew IDR 110k
This dish reminds me of mom’s homecooked dish, a very nostalgic flavor. Marinated pork belly slow cooked in rich bold sweet yet savory sauce. A humble delicious dish indeed.

Chicken Mango Salad IDR 68k
The colorful salad dish consists of sliced chicken, young mango and veggie with spicy Thai dressing. It was an appetizing dish with refreshing sweet and spicy flavor.

During AnakJajan’s visit, our fellow foodies had some of Genesis’s signature cocktails with unique combination and presentation, but AnakJajan had to take medicine that day so AnakJajan couldn’t taste it.

Luckily Genesis also serves various mocktail, so AnakJajan had Genesis Tropical and Biela Sunset, both mocktails were very refreshing and light. Genesis has a delightful tropical taste with the use of tangy lime, while Biela Sunset has a festive sweet and sour combination.

Since Genesis is own or managed by the same group with Rainbow Kitchen, you can also the dish from Rainbow Kitchen and enjoy it at Genesis.

Salted Egg Yolk Onde IDR 18k
Crispy glutinous ball filled with runny salted egg yolk inside and fully covered with fragrant sesame. It was deep fried nicely with perfect round shape and not greasy at all.

A kind of dish that I never skip when visiting Chinese restaurant, fried chicken covered with aromatic buttery sweet yet savory sauce, best enjoyed with rice.

Rainbow Chicken IDR 55k
The signature fried chicken from Rainbow Kitchen was simply delightful, crispy, savory, garlicky altogether.

Birthday Noodle IDR 68k
Simple classic dish that cannot be missed for birthday celebration, fried noodle with red colored eggs. It’s an enjoyable dish, nicely seasoned and not too oily.
