SUPER LOCO JAKARTA – Pacific Place Mall

Another new concept by The Union Group, this time with contemporary Mexican restaurant concept and bar serving authentic Mexican street food as well as the Mexican signature drinks, Super Loco at Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta.

Super Loco is a special collaboration between The Union Group with with Singapore’s Loco Group, that explains the unique and different vibes of interior. The contemporary Mexican restaurant and bar combines playful pink and green colors, it’s located at the East lobby of Pacific Place Mall.

The food varies from light bites to heavy dishes for sharing with price ranging from IDR 20k to IDR 320k for the food. Everyday from 11AM to 3PM, they also offer Lunch Menu from IDR 90k to IDR 125k.

Signature drinks like Margaritas, Tequilas, and Mezcals are available here in Super Loco as well as non alcohol drinks like tea, coffee, mocktails, etc. All of the drinks here use natural organic agave nextar, that explains the mild level of sweetness which I love!

Visiting Mexican restaurant wouldn’t be complete without having crispy nachos with guacamole and salsa dip, here in Super Loco, they use serve the corn chips with 3 condiments, gotta love the unique sweet yet spicy pineapple salsa.

It was nice, corn was sweet and grilled nicely. You can request the grilled corn to be shaved to make it easier to eat.

For quesadillas, AnakJajan had both roasted chicken and cheese, the Queso Quesadillas or cheese quesadillas is absolutely our favorite. The simple looking quesadillas were very yummy, savory and not overly cheesy thanks to the use of jalapeno.

While for tacos, the fish tacos or Baja Tacos was unexpected our favorite. The fish was nicely seasoned and then deep fried until crunchy on the outside complemented nicely with refreshing mango salsa and chopped cabbage.

Carne Asada was certainly the cherry on top to our visit to Super Loco. The beef was extremely succulent, juicy, tender, with nice charred aroma from the grilling process. It was already so good by itself, but the addition of smoked jalapeno mayo have a nice creamy sensation.

Crunchy on the outside, while soft bready on the inside, warm, crunchy and sweet, what’s not to love?

Pastel De Maiz Azul IDR 65k
warm blue-corn bread, vanilla ice cream, berries
The presentation of this dish is very appealing with blue and red colors combination. The corn bread tasted like banana bread with more dense texture in a good way and nice corn aroma. Fyi, the blue color of the bread comes from natural Mexican blue corn.

Overall, if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, Super Loco could be a nice option with their charming and cozy vibes.
