Moshi moshi Sahabat Jajan! Meet the new Amausaan Uji Matcha in Central Park Mall, Jakarta, a matcha specialty cafe that serves traditional Japanese dessert.

As matcha lovers, me and Mr. Jajan always remember to visit Japanese matcha cafe whenever we travel to Japan especially Kyoto. While there are tons of dessert cafes in Jakarta, matcha specialty cafe is quite rare to find even though there are many matcha hardcore fans here, that’s why the opening of Amausaan Uji Matcha is an exciting news.

Located inside Central Park Mall near BCA ATM in LG floor, going into Amausaan Uji Matcha in Central Park Mall feels like we have stepped into one matcha cafe in Kyoto. AnakJajan just love the whole Kyoto cafe vibes there, the decor is LOVELY with all traditional Japanese cafe accents, from the cafe layout to the ornaments, everything just screams Japan (in a good way). In this cafe, you can find all matcha-based beverages and dessert ranging from IDR 39k to IDR 62k.

Superior Uji Matcha (Iced) IDR 45k
Gotta give this one two thumbs up for being enjoyable. It’s rich and bold enough without unpleasant bitter taste, a good one we must say.

Matcha Latte Float (Iced) IDR 56k
For milky version of matcha drink, they have matcha latte topped with Supreme Matcha Soft-serve Ice Cream for double enjoyment.

Matcha Mille Crepes Cake IDR 49k
Love the delicate texture from the thin layers of crepe, the matcha cream in the middle is also pleasantly yummy, rich creamy but not too overpowering.

Uji Matcha Iced Bamboo Tube IDR 52k
Out of several items AnakJajan tried, their signature Uji Matcha Iced Bamboo Tube is certainly our most favorite one. The matcha dessert consists of matcha gelato, glutinous rice balls, roasted rice puff, whipped cream, and also shaved ice and red bean at the bottom for fun icy surprise. Everything was just complementing each other nicely but of course matcha gelato is the main star with rich smooth texture and strong bold matcha taste, creamy, aromatic, and again without unpleasant bitter taste. MUST TRY!

Ishida – White Jade Matcha Story IDR 62k
This Supreme Matcha Soft-serve Ice Cream bowl dessert is paired nicely with red bean, roasted rice puff, and glutinous rice balls, dig a lil deeper and you’ll fun interesting crunch and silky pudding hidden in the middle.

Matsukawa – Raw Matcha Bowl IDR 62k
Another enjoyable one consisting of two large spoons of matcha gelato, glutinous rice balls, red bean, and raw matcha jelly. Combine all items in one spoon for delightful texture combination in the mouth, smooth creamy, chewy, and silky.

Overall, Amausaan Uji Matcha is absolutely a great news for matcha lovers. Gotta love all the classic yummy dessert creations there, the matcha itself is praiseworthy for being bold and strong but enjoyable especially for Indonesian palates. A must visit for every matcha lovers in Jakarta indeed!
