Master of Noodle Darin, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Jakarta.
Opened in Feb 2017, some of you might be wondering about the connection between Darin and previous restaurant Legend of Noodle since the new restaurant serves similar dishes and as we all know the food from previous restaurant Legend of Noodle PIK somehow tastes different the original Senopati branch, well we got you an explanation.

The previous restaurant Legend of Noodle PIK was franchised but now the real owner of Legend of Noodle Senopati has taken the restaurant over to control the quality and taste of food, so now the new Master of Noodle Darin restaurant is owned and managed by the same owner of Legend of Noodle Senopati, that’s for sure is a good news for Legend of Noodle Senopati fans.
The restaurant specializes in Korean-Chinese dishes where besides the signature jajangmyun noodle, they also serve plenty options of other dishes. Having a high expectation, AnakJajan tried some of their signature dishes, short to say it didn’t dissapoint, the food were nicely executed with great flavor, here are the dishes that AnakJajan tried:

Jja Jang Myeon IDR 49k
No visit to Darin would be complete without having their jajangmyeon noodle or black bean noodle. Here they use steamed homemade noodle with springy texture, as for the sauce it was full of flavor, thick and rich with just the right amount of seasoning. For the meat you can choose pork or chicken.

Chapssal Tangsuyuk IDR 100k
One of the mandatory dishes to order as a companion to jajangmyun is tangsuyuk or sweet and sour pork dish and other than the classic one, Chapssal Tangsuyuk is also very nice to try where they deep fried the pork and then serve it with sweet sour tomato based sauce. The sauce tastes like the sauce from sweet and sour fish dish from Chinese restaurant with onion, pineapple, etc and we love it!

Gochu Japchae IDR 110k
Japchae is a Korean stir fried glass noodle dish and here in Darin they have the vegetable version where they change the noodle with various vegetables, so you get vegetable stir-fry dish in Japchae style of seasoning and they serve it soft fluffy mantao. It’s a very yummy flavorful dish, love the wok-fry aroma in it.

Deunggalbi IDR 160k
Tender pork backribs grilled with Korean sauce, love the way they serve it on top of sizzling hot plate.

Mapa Dubu IDR 70k
Cubes of tofu with dense texture cooked in thick sauce with generous amount of minced pork. Again, the wok-fry cooking process plays a major part in giving the dish a very appetizing aroma, the seasoning was very rich with bit of spicy taste.

Sundubu Jjigae IDR 60k
The Korean stew dish consists of soft tofu, egg, seafood, and pork. The seasoning was a bit on the sweet side but still enjoyable, hot spicy and packed with umami.

Samgyeopsal Jjampong IDR 54k
This one was one of our favorite during our visit, spicy pork belly noodle soup with vegetables and chili powder. The spiciness level was just right with thick springy noodle and generous amount of pork belly.

Giseumyeon IDR 47k
It might look simple, we guarantee that you’ll get hooked once you taste it. The thin noodle dish is served with super rich chicken broth topped witb shredded chicken and egg, sooo comforting yet tasty. Highly recommended if you’re looking for comforting dish to warm the body and soul.

Steamed Mandu IDR 32k // Fried Mandu IDR 32k
Mandu or Korean dumpling is the newest menu in Darin. They have both steamed and fried version. If you enjoy soft juicy dumpling, we recommend you to get the steamed one, but if you prefer crunchy texture then the fried version is the best choice. The mandu is filled with minced pork and chive and it was very juicy with just the right seasoning, best enjoyed with soy sauce.

Overall, to be honest AnakJajan are quite impressed by how tasty all of the dishes were during our visit. Great menu selection, nice tasty seasoning, will be coming back for more surely.
